I believe all Es have 157 blinds, the issue is the blinds malfunctioning. The majority I have seen have blind issues either with A4 paper or just the number showing E100-128 are fine when they were at SW & Q for Route 345 with little blind issues whenever I see them on any route they look dreadful now at AL. Overall the 157 blind presentation has been shocking under AL. I saw a picture of WVL435 with a printed A4 sheet showing Special service. A few weeks ago a WVL fully blinded for 163 Morden with 157 stuck over the front blind box. Agree - I have been doing a few end to ends and the amount of 157s (along with other routes!) having no blinds / paper boards is shocking. There is a particular one where the paper reads 57 instead of 157, impossible to figure out

They don’t intersect at all so surely you can figure it out?

1 sole Diesel B9TL remaining on the 476. Now will this stay at NP for the 657 or be replaced with a Hybrid?

What, in a world where we would not be able to cope with two 408 routes operating a few miles apart ... seems sometimes we can reply on the public to have a brain and sometimes not.

Just saw E120 with side blinds “93 Sutton Common Road Woodstock” and back blinds are 200. The amount of bandits on the route is crazy, this makes me miss the 157 with Arriva.

It’s almost like we’re all becoming extras from the movie Idiocracy.

It seems as a general rule, the ex East London WVLs generally have good blinds for the 157 ... unfortunately there is not enough of them for the whole allocation, and then whatever else turns up on the route ... well we are entering the wild west territory, not sure if it is bandit or cowboy country though.

It’s almost like we’re all becoming extras from the movie Idiocracy. Common sense no longer exists it’s not uncommon to get passengers get on you bus pay and ask if you go to this place then get straight off at the same stop because the bus don’t go there or even ask maybe 20 minutes later when you’ve already gone past that stop. Classic one for me someone got on a 432 and thought it was a 468 after realising that it went straight ahead on Norwood High Street, instead of going past N… The 432 was using a Gemini 3 Just the 213? Happens with all routes. I’ve had people tell me where I should be going despite the short destination already set before they got on… I ignore them because it announces the destination at every stop… Clearly reading the phone is more important a developing child between 3-7 could tell you were a bus is going trust me I’ve heard children talking on buses many times and are more aware than Adults Display Hell as a destination and people will still try and board. The other day I accidentally played “Bus Terminates here” at Stop Tooting Bec Athletics Track on the 249 instead of “The Next Bus Stop is closed”. No one questioned it all the passengers were ready to get off even after I said out loud to ignore it and played to correct announcement!

It’s been posted about for ages including by myself but now with the 157 win everyone’s noticing it as if it was a brand new issue.

The only AL route I have mainly crossed paths with when driving is the 57 at Streatham Church and the 219 at Tooting Bec. The 157 takeover I now see a lot more of AL.

Seems to be a common theme when new routes are won, I remember when I would mention the 25s issues under Tower Transit but it often got dismissed but once they won the 13 opinion quickly changed and people started noticing the state of their other routes. Certainly happy that operator is confined to the history books.

Certainly happy that operator is confined to the history books. Not really as most operators will have a selection of buses that have the correct blinds. There have been many operator changes where buses are fully equipped with blinds and these issues don’t happen. 178 286 386 291 changes I don’t remember seeing any issues with blinds. When the 180 moved to MG there were many buses out with failing blinds. Rainham BE was the reason why the term “Bandit” came about.

It's not as bad as most of the examples, but the number of times this week I've seen WVNs on the 131 blinded for "Tooting Station" instead of Tooting Broadway honestly made me wonder if the route had been extended 😂

It was a bit annoying at first between here and Facebook with a billion people repeating the same things but as DT says it’s understandable with people not being familiar with the garage(s) beforehand.
