Not quite sure what part of navigating a the roundabout is awkward, all you need to do is keep an eye on your mirrors and not take all the turns at a ridiculous speed, should you also use your indicators other drivers are unlikely to hit you as well. I don't see what's different about a LHD vehicle, the driver of it will presumably already be reasonably confident if they're driving a LHD vehicle through the UK, especially London and as already mentioned in an above post it being LHD doesn't exactly change the location of the mirrors and indicators you need to use to navigate the roundabout. I can only suggest you try it in a LHD coach or lorry, or watch somebody else doing so. The phrase accident waiting to happen springs to mind. islingtontribune.com/article/old-street-revamp-is-fast-tracked-after-cyclist-crashThere would still be accidents there, cant see anything changing, there is a mindset of certain cyclists that they are untouchable.

Oh dear, appalled to hear a bus driver was attacked whilst doing their job. I hope the delinquent who did it is caught

Which is exactly why I don’t bother confronting large groups (not that I encounter that problem much on the R7!). It’s just not worth it. I hope the driver recovers and can go back to the job

Car driving today I almost hit a cyclist - pleased to have missed not only for his sake but it would have caused expensive damage! I turned right on a green light at a T junction and as I straightend up he whizzed past very close on my nearside having run the red light - if we had collided no doubt it would have been my fault.

Did the 258 end to end today. On the South Harrow-Harrow Town Centre section there was appalling congestion around Harrow School as a result of the narrow roads and the sheer number of cars. I don’t think sending the 395 this way to add to the congestion is a good idea, it’ll just hamper the 395 because of all the congestion on that section and to be honest, I don’t see why there’s any need to reroute the 395

I have read before that there may be a general network review for Harrow.

I have read before that there may be a general network review for Harrow. It wouldn’t surprise me if that were to happen. The bus station is far to small and as a solution, I can see TFL doing what they did in Walthamstow and pulling some routes out of the bus station, the 182 and 186 will be candidates for removal. I think shortening the 258 to Harrow would be sensible and perhaps stand space could be created by extending the H11 to Northwick Park Hospital. It’s a farce that the 223 will be removed from Harrow to create stand space for the X140

Today marks the first day of the 125's extension through Hendon to Colindale. All buses display 'Finchley Central' on the blinds with a small A4 piece of paper stuck on the dashboard saying 'Colindale Station'. No doubt the new blinds will be fitted soon, as will the new bus stops along Church End and Greyhound Hill, which currently only have temporary stops. The tiles have not been updated along the extension, though the iBus is working fine. All in all, more notice could have been given to passengers as there was absolutely no publicity about the changes until yesterday. No posters have been put up at bus stops, though there is a scrolling message on the 125's iBus screen detailing the changes.
Not very busy today as I saw lots of empty buses, though there were a few passengers who were delighted to hear about the new extension. I have no doubt that in the future once people have more knowledge and become aware of the extension, this will provide a fairly well used cross-borough link.

The TEs and VWHs already have “Colindale Station” and “Hendon CHURCH ROAD” blinds as seen at PB Open Day last year. It’s likely however that they’re not selectable on the Mobitec unit yet. I spotted just one bus stop on the extended route with a new tile - in Hendon - but no other information on the ground whatsoever.
Potential westbound passengers were baffled by the sight of a bus supposedly heading to 'Finchley Central' but heading away from it, so didn't board.
One day it'll all work fine, but today was not that day.
(and zero points to the driver who left the 'Colindale Station' sheet displayed on their dashboard whilst heading back towards Winchmore Hill!)

I hope the driver recovers and can go back to the job This is getting ridiculous and out of hand to be honest. No one anywhere should have to go through something like this. Hope the driver is ok and makes a speedy recovery (and is back on the job asap)
