Why has one of the brand new vehicles for the 20 transferred to HK? Probably to sub the SD that was on 388 so CTP don't get fined. CTP should really be considering pulling in spares now or I can see the 20s contract being a disaster, the constant use of SDs, the Stagecoach E400s wont be there for the whole contract as it is contractually tied to the 275. Does anyone know if CTP are exploring different options such as ordering new buses, pulling in more E400Hs?

Don't forget it's not there fault TfL changed its mind on cutting the frequency on the 388. Can see this type of thing happening in the future as TfL cut frequency on one route to give buses to other routes.

They don't need to order more buses - the 20, 26 & 388 all have the correct amount of vehicles including spares. 2505-2506 are long term VOR and there are probably maintenance schedules going on that has resulted in single deckers used as cover - not ideal but a bus is better than no bus.

Isn’t the 388 getting a PVR increase later this year though?

If it get ones, CT Plus may choose to go secondhand but I suspect TfL will limit any PVR increase in order to save money.

Yes the 388 is getting shortened in June to Liverpool Street and then getting extended in October once the 48 is withdrawn. Also, the 26 is getting a frequency increase to every 8 minutes on the same day when the 388 is extended to London Bridge and the 48 is withdrawn.

Isn't the 388 get getting shortened? Shortened to Liverpool St in June then extended in October to London Bridge. Not sure what the new PVR will be in October. If TFL are looking to reduce costs then some LTs could make a very short trip from one side of Ash Grove garage to the other to facilitate the increases to the 26 and 388. It would probably only be a partial conversion otherwise there would be E400Cities sitting at HK and seeing little usage which would be somewhat ironic after CT Plus's Minus' double decker woes
