How many of the DD Olympians does Go Coach have? I noticed in the latest pics it is S 869HCG, whereas in the older ones it is S 569HCG, unless of course there are two with nearly identical registrations

When the bus is slowing down and nearly stopped instead of a nice smooth change into 1st, the whole bus shakes. Hi Jay, I passed on your comment to some at Go Coach and got the following response. 'If a bus jerks and shakes like that when coming to a stop it is most likely the driver applying too much pressure on the foot brake believe me you can drive a bus and ease off on the harsh braking and it will be smooth.' I boarded the bus when i visited Go Coach last week and we took it up the road for a photo pose and it sounded perfectly fine.

I spoke with Austin (the MD of Go Coach) today about P179 LKL and i was correct it was booming however he knew about it and fixed it Tuesday or Wednesday as for today's run it was perfectly fine and didn't boom at all and i had exactly the same driver as i had on the 401 on Tuesday. Apparently something had come loose in the engine bay which was making the bus boom.

Do you think there is the chance that Go Coach might venture into London operatiosn. As its depot is Knockholt it could bid for routes such as Orpington R routes, 402, 246 and other south routes.

I have asked that to them and the plain answer is no because for a company as small as them to run in London there's a lot of costs and TfLs strict rules make it even harder to run the operation.

Go Coach now have S296 JLP DLD96 from Metroline. DLD95 will arrive next week. Buses need TLC as can be seen in my photos. DLD95 will be converted to single door whilst DLD96 will stay dual doored. DLD96 will be on school work and is expected to be in the paint shop soon and will be there for a few weeks. Photos... www.londonbusphotos.fotopic.net/c1832794_1.html

Sorry to bump this thread but i thought i might aswell tell everyone that Go Coach have been awarded the following KCC tendered routes:
Route 200: Hildenborough to Hildenborough Station Route 280: Tunbridge Wells to Molyneux Park Route 283: Tunbridge Wells to Ferndale
All work has been won off Arriva, so another blow to Arriva in Kent. I wish them good luck on the new routes. According to their facebook site an Optare Solo is due that has Leather Seats to operate the new services.

Thats good news jay38a, they seem like a good company, I wish well. Often small independents put in more effort than big companies such as Arriva, but thats just generally speaking though. Their buses look very smart, and I look forward to seeing this leather-seated Solo.
