Volvo I just wanted to say that it was very noble and professional how you handled that horrible passenger the other day. The mere fact you offered her a transfer voucher suggests you weren't out to vilify her but took appropriate actions to remedy her rudeness. I think you handled it quite well, I've seen drivers do worse for far less. It doesn't tie in with this story but I was once on a 474 and the driver sussed a college kid using a child's oyster. He asked to see it, took it immediately and said "it's not yours so I'm keeping it. If you complain you can get off right now, I'm being nice by still allowing you to travel." The person complied. It's nice to see that a person like yourself can still be respectful and not lower yourself to the standards of a silly person. Brava sir. Thank you very much. I have been on buses and have seen drivers react badly to less plus wouldn't have offered her a transfer ticket either. I just can't be asked with arguing with these idiotic passenger's especially being from Jamaica I know my mouth can be very foul. I mean to think she was behaving like that over me calling her actions stupid. She is lucky because the 13nightmare is a route that really grinds my gears and I was already having a annoying day and she really wouldn't have liked if I actually became unprofessional and told her about herself. Instead I just carried on and ignored her at first but I just knew she wasn't going to stop, which is why I said to her I wanted her off the bus. Some passengers I believe they come on the bus looking for problems and I'm not that guy I really am not as I don't tolerate bs. I will always try to ignore it and remain calm but sometimes there comes a point where enough is enough. Like for example travelling on the 186 just now from Edgware to Harrow to start my shift on the 258s. I counted 8 stops where people were deliberately ding ding ding ding dinging on the bell. The bell does not need to be rung 10-12 times each stop. See me I would have said something about it, however this driver put up with it all the way to Harrow. When I got off I spoke to him about it and said you are good, you out up with that I wouldn't as it's very annoying as the bells on Geminis can be so loud aswell. He said it was really annoying him.

The standards of driving in London are just getting worse and worse. Running light from BT to South Harrow just now just before Cannons Park there is a Prius driving at 8mph in what is a 30 zone with the whole road I don't clear, suffice to say after a while everyone behind me hot annoyed started honking and flashing as they can't see that it's not me. So they overtook some had near misses when they overtook.
The punk finally pulled over just after canons park station. That wasn't bad enough further down the road just before Belmont circle another idiot this time in a vw touran doing 12 in a 30 and the same thing again people got annoyed and overtook dangerously. What happend next was even worse. Just after Belmont circle a pr*** on a fiat Punto pulled right out Infront of me considering the touran Infront of me was already going slow there wasn't even space for him to do that and speed up so I had to swerve onto the otherwise of the road to avoid colliding with the cxxx.
Since the terrible accident in Orpington this is the 11th time that some ass as pulled out Infront of my bus causing me to swerve or hit the brakes.

Yes would expect a bid for 200, and (if they dont get 2 year extensions) 57 and 213 I'm sure RATP would put the 57 back into TV instead. Can see a hotly contested bidding war between RATP TV, Abellio BC, and Go Ahead AL for the 57.

So after 4 peaceful days in Italy, I come back to a late duty on this nightmare route. Roadworks, annoying slow colleagues, holding back numerous times, suicidal pedestrians, selfish & idiotic Uber/taxi drivers, annoying cyclists, late meal relief, hardly any stand time, pond life passengers. To top it off @ 2050 at Trafalgar Square I'm looking at time I'm supposed to depart Waterloo in 9 mins anyway these two last-minute.com passengers ring the bell as I'm ontop of the stop approaching the red lights. I stop and let them off, there is no one else at the bus stop at this point. All of a sudden there is this woman putting her foot in the rear doors as they are closing to get on. The following ensues Me - you shouldn't do that, you could have injured your foot. You should have just come and knocked on the front doors. Cockroach - I don't care, just drive. Me - well if you had injured yourself you wouldn't want me to just drive and you would care then wouldn't you. As what you did was stupid. Lights have changed green I start to move off. Cockroach - you calling me stupid, what's the registration, I am going to report you. Takes phone out and tries to take picture of me and really trying to provoke a big argument. Next set of red lights before national Gallery. Me - you know what, I don't want you on the bus anymore can you get off at the next stop please, I will give you a transfer ticket. Cockroach - I'm not getting off!! Me - rings controller, get to the next stop controller rings back. I explain what's going on, I'm already late as I'm due out of Waterloo in 4 minutes. Controller says terminate the bus and do a code red. At this moment she is trying to stop every passer by to tell them I called her stupid yet failed to explain a) was her actions I called stupid and b) she failed to explain her actions. There is another lady at the stop wanting to go to Waterloo and I was trying to explain to her that I have just been told by the controller to end here as I am already late and I have a disruptive passenger. Cockroach - he's lying he's lying, controller didn't tell him to stop the bus. Then took her phone out again and started filming me, why did you call me stupid? Me - since you want what I said for the record and since you suffer from memory loss, here it is. At the last bus stop Trafalgar Square, I was closing the rear doors on the bus, you ran stuck your right foot in the doors to stop them closing. You then boarded and came to the front to tap your oyster. I said to you, you shouldn't do that you could have injured your foot. You should have come to the front doors and knocked on the doors. To which you replied, "I don't care" just drive". I replied well you "would care" if you had injured your foot and you wouldn't have wanted me to "just drive" and I said because what you did was stupid! To which you then started arguing that I called you stupid. Proceeded to take your phone out and started recording me as you are doing now and taking the registration of the bus. I told you I didn't want you on the bus anymore and that you should get off at this stop and I would give you a transfer ticket. You refused to get off the bus and I called my controller and told him what was happening and he told me to terminate the bus and call for police assistance. There was one other guy on the bus who told everyone at the bus stop exactly what happened and that this woman is creating problems as she shouldn't have done what she did and instead of saying sorry, she was being rude then creating an argument. So I told her I didn't want her on the bus anymore as she was causing me stress and distracting me from driving. Finally the other lady at the stop understood what was going on and Now the controller was calling me again over the radio so I went back on the bus to answer the radio then she steps on the bus again. Stating she's not going anywhere call the police so I did a code red and as soon as I asked for police assistance she decides to run off the bus and onto the 176 that pulled up behind. I then notified NMCC that she had now left the bus and also my controller. I don't understand people like this, like why come out of your cave to make trouble. All this because I have her advice for her own safety. The trip back to Golders Green I spent holding back 7 times. Just read this post @volvo and you have made me laugh
I sure you must have found this extremely frustrating to put it mildly, and you handed this in such a calm and professional manner that is a credit to the industry.
Shame the police didn't come and give that woman a good talking to about how dangerous her actions were.

I was only pointing out that my post was speculation, I can't help the fact that some of my posts will be speculations but what I can do is tell people that what I am posting is speculation. Anyway I'm going to leave it here as this is not what the forum should be about and hope you have a good night.

Can see a hotly contested bidding war between RATP TV, Abellio BC, and Go Ahead AL for the 57. Also Arriva at BN, if they have the space. I would exclude Abellio BC, more like TF. Unless TF can move something out, it’s full up after the 285 moves in.

BC is closer to the middle of the line of route than TF. For a long route like the 57, BC would mean live changeovers on the middle of the route, not dead changeovers on the Kingston stand which would likely occur if TF ran the route.
