TWH, the company based in Loughton, have registered a service E20, starting from 6th February 2012 which will operate daily, from 0530 to 2125 on Mon-Sat and 0930 to 1905 on Sundays.
It will run from Harlow to Stratford via Waltham Abbey, Sewardstone, outskirts of Chingford, outskirts of Walthamstow, Whipps Cross and Leyton.
I believe it was originally planned to operate via the M11, serving only Redbridge station, Leytonstone Green Man and Leyton Station, but I think the new routing is better as it has more potential.
Not sure how many people will use the service to get to Stratford, but it will restore the long-lost link between Waltham Abbey and the Walthamstow area, and will also give a direct Sunday service between Waltham Abbey and Harlow for the first time in a very long time.
Good luck to TWH, but I think it will be difficult to stick to the timetable, especially considering how bad the traffic can be around east London.

Lets hope they run it better than the D1 over the summer! These routes sound good on paper but sadly a route like that will flop! the traffic alone will be a nightmare as the original poster quotes

The problem with the D1 was that they only used one bus and because the timetable was so tight, It just got later and later as the day went on. Also the fact that the route choice was p**s poor...It would of been more interesting to do a circular tour of the car parks at Lakeside ;D
The route does seem good, As long as they haven't timetabled it for a 10 min rest at eaxh end using one bus then it should be alright.....Might even become as popular as the X5. If TWH can get the fare's right, Timetable right then maybe they might persuade some commuters that use the train to switch to the bus. If they advertise it right of course!

Yeah, the area around Whipps Cross and Leytonstone can really become congested during the days. Do you know where exactly it will run between Whipps Cross and Leyton? Also, do you know the frequencies for this route?

According to the LSP with information on the route, it has 3 mins rest at Stratford as no standing is allowed, it then is timetabled 10 mins rest at Harlow, im guessing it will be a PVR of 3.

Yeah, the area around Whipps Cross and Leytonstone can really become congested during the days. Do you know where exactly it will run between Whipps Cross and Leyton? Also, do you know the frequencies for this route? After the North Circular, it will follow the 20 to Whipps Cross, and then go past Leyton Garage, then down to the Tube station. It will operate hourly on Mon-Sat and 2-hourly on Sundays. Should be good to see TGM operating in London. I suspect that they would be using something like a Citaro or Dennis Dart. Its not TGM, its Travel With Hunny (TWH) who are based in Loughton. They definatly won't be operating anything like a Citaro! ;D

High Road Leyton becomes congested particularly in the afternoons and when Leyton Orient fans negotiate over to the stadium so should be interesting times ahead.

TWH not TGM ;D TWH don't have any Citaros though they do have two SJ53 reg Darts. They also have two Marshall Capital bodied Darts, which are ex-Ensign, and a UVG Urbanstar bodied one. Those three have all been painted in a smart blue/gold livery. Will be good to see if they operate their ex-Lothian Olympian on the route.

However, they could fit it with a emissions trap if they wanted.

Good luck to TWH, but I think it will be difficult to stick to the timetable, especially considering how bad the traffic can be around east London. While some of the links are quite interesting I think they've missed one trick if the LSP details are right. The implication is that the E20 will not serve the Crooked Billet roundabout and instead run underneath on the North Circular. This therefore rules a relatively convenient interchange with several routes in the Walthamstow and Chingford area. If the route really only has 3 minutes time at Stratford it will never run on time. You can lose that time all too easily on Leyton High Road or even just getting through the lights by Leyton Library. They're obviously really wanting to get people from outside of London to Stratford City and are willing to take a punt in the short run to see if they pick up local traffic in the TfL area to / from Stratford. If they don't I expect a registration change to make the route express to Stratford from Sewardstone or so.

Why is No Standing Allowed because there is no way that it will be on time unless you are driving at 2AM to have 3 mins stand time
