Strike action has been announced for this Thursday for routes operated by Arriva London North. I believe that Arriva London South are being balloted. More news as and when we get it.

Just to nail this one down quickly, London South are merely being balloted on an offer not on strike action. If anything I doubt any sort of action in the South as we've been made a very tempting offer!

Im surprised that arriva london north are going on strike. I thought everything was nice and rosy in that area.
Im sure that the passengers in the nunhead and peckham areas will realise that one of their routes could also be affected!
Any more details on what the offer was?

I'm onboard DLA243, the iBus has a scrolling message "Industrial action planned tomorrow, see www.tfl.gov.uk/buses", so it looks like this will be for real... Tomorrow will be interesting for travel to work Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

Are they allowed to bring in bus drivers from other parts of the company or outside to cover work ?

i hope TFL have been on the phone to Metroline asking if they have any spare deckers to put on the 232 tomorrow - its gonna be the only route that goes through and beyond Wood Green into the North/North West!

If anything I doubt any sort of action in the South as we've been made a very tempting offer! Moz Do I assume that each bit of Arriva London (not Shires or Kent) has its own pay rates and terms and conditions? Seems bizarre that ALS have given a "tempting" offer and ALN have managed to trigger strike action. I assume ALN have had a ballot on a pay offer and that it has been rejected in order to get to the point of strike action.
