How would these be run? Drivers not on strike or are other companies helping out? Drivers who are Unite members and do not agree with the strike, Drivers who are not members of any union, Drivers who belong to other unions that are not striking such as WOE.

Passed VLW115 on the 221 on my walk home - not sure where he was heading though as he had the desto on 'dayglo yellow' blank and quite a few passengers on.

Whilst staging a break in my walk home, TFL operatives at Turnpike Lane marshaling the queues for the 231 and 217 and allowing passengers on for free - I saw an operative stand by the ETM and usher people on.
I was almost tempted for a FREE ride!

I was almost tempted for a FREE ride! Disgrace! It's easy for TFL to give free rides, it's not thier money...................

I was almost tempted for a FREE ride! Who wouldn't. Take the opportunity. I quite enjoyed the walk TBH to make a change and get a bit of exercise. Normally the strike wouldn't have been an issue for me as I cycle but I am still recovering from Man-Flu - my chest is still very wheezy and I get out of breath when I cough. Mixed with the uphill cycle out of Wood Green and up Bounds Green Road (where normally I get a little out of breath with exertion) I would have fallen off and needed oxygen! Going home is mostly downhill so I just took my time and took in the scenery

I assume this is to keep the tube station/bus station interchange moving and clear of large queues....but I was a little surprised TBH.

Better to keep things moving, plus most people have Travelcards in any case.
