It always was for real, hence the post. I'm onboard DLA243, the iBus has a scrolling message "Industrial action planned tomorrow, see www.tfl.gov.uk/buses", so it looks like this will be for real... Tomorrow will be interesting for travel to work Sent from my GT-I9100 using proboards

This is Unite's press release: - www.unitetheunion.org/news__events/latest_news/thousands_of_london_bus_worker.aspxThousands of London bus workers to take strike action over pay freeze 28 November 2012 Over 2,000 bus drivers from nine garages across north London will take 24 hour strike action from 3am tomorrow (Thursday 29 November 2012) following Arriva North's decision not to award workers a percentage pay increase this year despite massive profits. DB Group which owns Arriva PLC made €853.6 million in profit before tax in the half year to 30 June this year. 93 per cent of the drivers who took part in the ballot voted for strike action.

Just to nail this one down quickly, London South are merely being balloted on an offer not on strike action. If anything I doubt any sort of action in the South as we've been made a very tempting offer! Moz Do I assume that each bit of Arriva London (not Shires or Kent) has its own pay rates and terms and conditions? Seems bizarre that ALS have given a "tempting" offer and ALN have managed to trigger strike action. I assume ALN have had a ballot on a pay offer and that it has been rejected in order to get to the point of strike action. Yes, Arriva London North and South have differing Ts & Cs and therefore separate unions which all stems from the original LBL sell-offs. I know North have a slightly higher hourly rate than South, but South has more generous unsocial hours payments and holiday allowances. I'll not give full details, but the South offer is a four figure lump sum plus a reasonable percentage hourly wage rise from Jan 1st next year. Moz

So for two years, they have refused to increase pay for their staff despite profits. Its no wonder that they are going on strike. I like to hear arriva views on this. Any idea on how much arriva north are currently earning per hour?

The 123 is operating a 3 bus service at present Was in Forest Gate, this morning and the 325 appeared to of been operating a normal-ish service, which begs the question did Arriva DX walk out too?
128,150 appear to be operating, although with curtailments.

This is nonsense, you either have no buses instead of having 2 buses on a route. One bus on 38? Thats just going to trick people to wait for a bus.
I thought Arriva were striking for being forced to use the NB4L. ;D

I thought Arriva were striking for being forced to use the NB4L. ;D Who could blame them? ;D According to this; www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/bus-strike-service-levels.pdfQuite a few routes are running a limited service, With the 150 the only route running a full service. How would these be run? Drivers not on strike or are other companies helping out?
