Well it's rumoured Sony are going to announce a lot of info on the PS4 on the 20th of this month. Strangely I was talking to my retailer of Video Games (that 4 letter company starting with a G, ending with E and based in Basingstoke ) and we agreed we think GTA V is being delayed for the next gen machines. As for the Controller issue I've never been a fan of the Xbox controller (too bulky) and I hate the fact you have to PAY to go online with the Xbox (not that I do online gaming much) I was a late convert into the Playstation family as I didn't think Sony would succeed against the might of Sega and was one of the few that went for the Sega Saturn (which actually wasn't a bad machine) however once I converted I've never wavered and still remember a long for the nights of FIFA leagues (yes play the WHOLE season in a night ;D) even if my playing partners did get the hump when I used to score goals with my keeper (having dropped the ball on a goal kick and then weaving magic all the way down the pitch ) couldn't do it now though I was the same in thinking that sega saturn was the better machine. By the time I got a job and had enough money to buy one, the saturn was on its way out. I remember playing FIFA on the saturn (a friend had it) but hated it. Got into PES and never looked back until FIFA 12 came out. Another good thing about the playstation 3 is that you can watch blue ray films

If reports are to be correct, the PS4 is out in Jan/Feb 2014 whilst the Xbox 720 or Xbox Infinity is out in Dec 2013, giving Microsoft a head start.
Apparently, PS4 will have a better spec than Xbox 720 but Xbox will have a much larger RAM. Also, Xbox will have a Kinect sensor on the console, can play Blue Ray films & the controller is expected to remain roughly the same. Meanwhile, the PS4 controller has gained an awful looking touch screen part on the middle of the controller.

Also, Xbox will have a Kinect sensor on the console, can play Blue Ray films & the controller is expected to remain roughly the same. Meanwhile, the PS4 controller has gained an awful looking touch screen part on the middle of the controller. The PS4 launch event yesterday confirmed the PS4 is coming out at Christmas (the screen at the end said Holiday 2013 etc.). It's going to be a level playing field as they're both releasing at the same time. Head starts don't seem to give Microsoft much of an advantage, as PS3 has sold a million more consoles despite the 360 coming out well before. The processing power of the PS4 looks very strong and I think Microsoft will have to consider whether they want to go head to head with PS4 on power or whether they want to make a slightly weaker console and retain their lower-price niche they currently hold. As for Kinect, there doesn't seem to be any proof anyone wants to actually use Kinect. Microsoft are taking an odd turn recently, and seem to be forcing the user to use what they believe is best rather than what the user believes is best (Windows 8 comes to mind). I know it's an attempt to try and divert some of the market from the Wii but the Wii is hardly a gamer's console like the 360. The Blu Ray, if they get it in their console, will certainly help them a bit as the PS3 is very popular as an alternative Blu Ray player. I don't know what that huge great touch-screen is about. Seems like some adapted at this integrated gaming experience rubbish we're all expected to buy into. If you ask me a console should just be a console - and that's why I like the Xbox's controller design at the moment - it fits your hands and it's well adapted for their core market, FPS gamers.

Ive heard that GTA:V will be released on the PS3. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of overlapping games - the next Call of Duty, for example.

Ive heard that GTA:V will be released on the PS3. Has that only been made news recently - if so, Sony are behind Microsoft as GTA V has been available to pre-order for Xbox360 since the end of last year.
