As some of you have heard that the was a E3 Press Conference based on the Playstation 4. The Playstation will be released during this year I suspect it will be during the Christmas period as it has mentioned around this holiday. On it's debut launch there will be a few exclusive's out only for PS4 which will be #DriverClub, Killzone and so forth.
This is a clip of a game that will come out on the PS3 which will be caleld Watchdog. Other new releases will be out on the PS3 such as GTA:V, Gran Turismo 6 and Call of Duty: Ghost.

Can't help but wonder if the £350 launch price for PS4 will be making Sony a loss......

Can't help but wonder if the £350 launch price for PS4 will be making Sony a loss...... I dobut that. If you remember when the PS3 came out back in 2006/2007 the first batch was around £550 (IIRC) and only a handful of people brought them. People across the world were complaining about the prices of the PS3. Couple of months later Sony downgraded the price to around £400-£450. I think Sony are learning from their mistakes and I was quite shocked to see that Sony was selling the PS4 for £350. Me personally I thought it was going to be more expensive than that.

Isn't it more to do with the fact that the Xbox One has far more new gadgets such as the Live TV & a Gamecatcher built in to record games and is a higher spec. I'm still torn between which one to buy being a former Sony man but at the moment, I'm still slightly swaying towards Xbox One - the Xbox One looks hideous but the controller looks far better & more practical for gaming than the PS controller - the analogue stick is the biggest gripe I have with the PS controller. Plus, I get rewarded by Microsoft next month with 2 free game downloads every month.

I personally don't see the hype with the PS4 and the Xbox One (probably that I don't have a games console but anyway...) I prefer PC when I play games. It's pretty much got all the features that games consoles have (multiplayer, online services, aka the internet etc.) and, if you know how to, one can upgrade the specs and probably play Crysis 2 on full graphics without lag.

That was roughly the point I was making. PS3 had a high price when it first came out - at the time admittedly it was new tech - whereas PS4 is straightaway coming in under £400. Ok it makes the new machine more accessible to more people but is it really only costing Sony £350 (or more/less) to make the new machines? Or is it just a Microsoft vs Sony price war in time for the Christmas market? vjaska - I made the switch from PS3 to Xbox just over a year ago. Haven't used my PS3 for gaming since!

I think the ps4 looks hideous I had no idea that the xbox had a gamecatcher but the ps4 does have something similar where you can upload your games videos to others... www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrNkhxKkxf8If theres one thing that bothers me about the xbox 1 is that you can't play games without an internet connection or lend your games. Last xmas, I brought my mate uncharted 3 for his ps3. He played it once and didn't want it. So I took it back and gave it to my nephew. Bare in mind, my mate doesn't use the internet for his ps3. If this was an xbox 1 then I may have trouble trying to replace it When the ps4 comes out we would have to pay to go online via a subscription service (PS+). This is possibly the only bad thing about the ps4 but once you subscribe to ps+, you will also get two games every month. Anyway, im used to sony now so I will get a ps4 but the xbox 1 restrictions still bother me especially that you have to connect to the internet every few hours.

Uncharted 3 Its seems a good idea to just buy games on the PC but I perfer the arrangement I got now as I can play games and surf at the same time. Sometimes, I p[laying my ps3 and my brother comes in and wants to show me something on my PC. I don't have to pause it or anything like that. Sometimes, I playing my ps3 and watching something on my PC. Little things really . Also, im not good at configuring the PC to different specs. Last thing I remember, you had to insert the hardware and install th esoftware via the BIOS menu screen. Something like that anyway. Not sure if its any easier these days
