Spotted BYX 161V, M161 tucked away at the back of the LT Museum depot over the weekend, anyone know if this is a recent acquisition by the Museum?
Still surprised a Metrobus hasn't made it into the Museum collection so far, they certainly earned their place in it!

I'm also surprised a Metrobus hasn't yet been included in the collection, plus the Titan as well for that matter. If it's indeed to be a permanent exhibit I reckon I will take me another trip to the London Transport Museum to reminisce on my Metrobus days. Would have also loved an MD, especially with their short lived London life.

I'm sure there are others on the forum with a lot more knowledge & info on outings etc, but you'd almost certainly be guaranteed it will be out on their annual running day in December if you fancied a trip!

I missed the opportunity when MD60 was on a south London route a year or so ago, but I can't remember which route it was....perhaps the 36? I've only been on the breed twice and that was back in 1979 on the 36 from Oval to Lewisham with the return journey being from Lewisham to Vauxhall to change to the 88 to Mitcham. Will never forget the first time I saw that bus approaching the bus stop at Oval and was amazed in seeing rectangle headlights on a London bus for the first time. Then when I first saw the even newer Metrobuses I was baffled on why the headlights designs were back to circle. lol
