Logged in to recheck when this programme was! Luckily It is Today!!! thanks for reposting I forgot when it was on just put it on the TiVo box If you a) look at the TfL website b) subscribe to any TfL twitter feed c) watch the BBC then it has been utterly impossible to escape an advert or plug for this programme. It's felt like there is a tweet every 30 minutes about the programme! You'd never guess there was a TfL financial settlement due shortly.

Yes you did I'm thinking the trainee wasn't driving. Not a lot of buses but that was a very good show.

Double Decks can run through the southbound tunnel but not through the northbound as the northbound tunnel is smaller in height - it was also built in 1897 compared to the southbound tunnel which was built in 1967.

Presumably southbound which can accomodate DDs fine. It's the northbound tunnel that's rather different in its dimensions!

Presumably southbound which can accomodate DDs fine. It's the northbound tunnel that's rather different in its dimensions! Indeed, I have actaully been on a double decker through the southbound Blackwall Tunnel. RM9 to be precise, coming back from Showbus a couple of years ago. Since the southbound tunnel is a newer 1960s build, it was built to more modern standards i.e taller (and straighter) than the original Victorian tunnel.

I've driven various deckers through the south bore, RM5, RMC1453 and RML901 to name a few.

Good first episode. Cant wait for the episode where the driver says "we are not going to HELL, we are going to Ilford"
