There was rumours of the 205 converting to NBfL's earlier this year so who knows.

My partner has seen some Stagecoach NB4L's seemingly being "tested" along the 205 current routing in the Old Street/Shoreditch area several times this week. Seeing as routes 55 and 56's Tenders are coming up, there is always the possibility that the 205s buses could get sent to the 55/56. I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the 55 will get new (hybrid) buses regardless. And if the 56 is retained, it'll obviously keep it's current Scanias. Besides, there are Tridents that need to go back to lease.

(Not saying it is going to happen but) It never stopped the 24 which had its new buses for a couple of months. Drivers are being type trained upto Shoreditch for the route 8

I take the 205 everyday and would like the new buses to stay on the route please.

I don't think the 56 will keep its Scanias, Seeing as the 205 and 96 both didn't neither did the 7 keep its Scanias, and it seems the latest practice to avoid all Central London Routes with Hybrids upon contract renewal.

Yes, but the 56 already got Euro 5 Scanias back in 2010, in theory they can do another contract and it will probably be more cost effective too. But never say never about Hybrids

I half expected the 48 and 56 which both serve Zone 1 to gain the hybrids intended for PD and the 122 and 472 to gain the Scanias. If the 56 gains new buses I guess they could be used on a Romford area route
