I see the latest TfL service change list shows the N21 getting a weekend frequency increase to a bus every 20 mins from 11 October.

This should have been done in the first place or create an N321 to provide a every 15 mins service between Trafalgar Square and Eltham.

Very good - it's almost always packed at London Bridge, plus the Old Kent Road corridor could do with a bit of extra capacity as far as New Cross.

In that case, would it be worth stopping every other journey at Eltham? Having it run my way over the last couple of weeks on diversion around Blendon has allowed me to see at first hand how pitifully empty services are out on the Sidcup/Bexley extremity

Probably would also be a good idea to extend the N321 to London Bridge via the N21, could be utilised a lot more if made a bit longer.

I agree I think extending the 321 Night Service to London Bridge would help with capacity along the Old Kent Road and improve night bus services in the Eltham Area. The N21 does seem busier between Central London and Eltham with some very heavy loadings. Perhaps a local night bus service N132 could operate between Bexleyheath and North Greenwich Station Via Eltham could operate when the London Underground starts to run 24 hours at the weekends. Just a thought!

I would just extend the N321 all the way to Trafalgar Square giving a 15min headway on the busiest section, it is crazy that the Lewiham to Eltham section gets a better service than the Central London section

My proposals would be make the 21 24 hours between Newington Green and Lewisham, bring in an N321 Trafalgar Square to Foots Cray and introduce a 24 hour service to the 132 between North Greenwich and Bexleyheath.

Well that makes things look nice and neat but I'm not sure it is the best use of resources. I think the N21 would be better going to Trafalgar Square giving 4bph over that section if the N321 is extended there. I'm sure an N132 will be justified Fri/Sat nights when the tubes are running but I'm not sure about the rest of the week. I'm surprised that the 141 isn't 24 hour between London Bridge and Newington Green and onto Palmers Green.

The advantage of a 24 hour 21 is that it would add much needed capacity to North and SE London for the Hoxton / Shoreditch night life crowds. We know from lots of post here that buses are overloaded there so an extra route would help. The Trafalgar Square link could be covered by a slightly boosted frequency at weekends. When the night tube runs then I expect a N132 link would be well used.

But a 24 hour 141 service would do the same job although if the 21 were to go to Newington Green at night it may as well continue to Wood Green in instead of a 141 night service. I think all the routes served North Greenwich will need a Fri/Sat night service when the 24 hour tube begins.

Reroute N21 at eltham to go via route 321 to foots cray Tesco and withdraw 321 night service to provide a direct link between sidcup and Central london.
Extend route N36 to Bexleyheath shopping centre via old route N21 and 132.
Withdraw route 436 and extend day route 36 to Lewisham.
Curtail route N36 at Paddington since the night route between marble arch and queens park is covered by the 6 and also not to make the route to long.
N21 Foots Cray - Trafalgar Square N36 Queens Park - Bexleyheath 36 Lewisham - Queens Park 321 New Cross Gate - Foots Cray (no night service) 436 withdrawn
