It just doesn't make sense to me why they would restyle it after less than a year of mass-production. All manufacturers, no matter of how well their products are selling, regularly refresh or update their range to keep the product fresh and one step ahead of the competition - for instance, see how much the Ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa has changed in recent times, despite both being strong sellers. Having looked at the StreetDeck (not my 2S, lol), it looks like it's trying to keep abreast or slightly ahead of the MMC, whereas the MetroDecker is more conservative, like a sensible pair of M&S trousers, than trendy SuperDry gear We have to keep checking Flickr or the Yahoo groups to see when any more pix of a closer to production model will look when complete... it's only next week, lol Except that ford or vauxhall don't refresh cars one year after just changing the design

Why would they restyle it due to lack of orders? The Gemini 3 was only made availible this year, and the E400 MMC was only announced back in May (or June?). So I'd say its too early to say if there are lack of orders... It just doesn't make sense to me why they would restyle it after less than a year of mass-production. I agree, it seems that they've previously finalised the Streetdeck design to be identical to the Gemini 3. But have any been mass-produced yet?, if not then perhaps this explains why Wright subsequently restyled it.

I think it was just an experiment with an existing design... I never liked the Gemini3 what with the squashed upper windows. The LEDs at the front were cool but it was another blink - and - You'll - miss - it refresh, perhaps as they realized the competition had moved on... I guess this time next week we will know...

The current Gemini 3 to the new Gemini 3 is what the NBFL is to the Omnidekka/current Gemini 3. Or if you're not a fan of the NBFL, then the E400 to the Omnidekka/current Gemini 3. Depends on your preference but you get the point. PS- I guess for most, the current G3 to the new G3 is what the E400 is to the NBFL. Imo all the above mentioned are better looking than the NBFL . IMO in terms of looks, the NBFL will reign superior for generations to come.

More likely to see DW411 with wedding ribbons on for private hire than one of those fugly LTs... the wedding would have to be in spring as it would get too hot in summer if an LT was hired due to lack of aircon

I didn't like the gemini 3 (current model) in the beginning and still not so hung up on the B5LH has too many upper and lower deck windows but the B5TL version I like alot.

Theres one thing travelling to west end on a slow DB300 but on a slow what ever you want to call it with that dull interior and then some no thank you.

I take back previous comments about DW411 and private hire of LT's ... Someone must have been playing with the blinds at Heysham Docks before it returned to Enfield the other day

In no way are they built to last like RTs and RMs. Would think no private hire company would touch such a complicated and unreliable vehicle with a bargepole.

I've sat on the 148 and the heat on the entire bus is too much to bear, no opening windows and smell of sweat. LTs have even made the news for air con problems.... Gemini 2s & 3s have lovely Air Conditioning and no air con problems at all.

I have had Air Con problems on a 38, was sitting through such a lengthy diversion on a black Adidas bus on a sunny day. Never again I want that experience. Stagecoach LTs aren't also wonderful in terms of air con, I wasn't sweating to death in one, but it felt so stuffy.
