Heard this from a BE driver. 498 going to stagecoach, being run out of north st, the current 498 driver being tupe'd to stagecoach rainham for the 103's.
Also, TFL at BE today for a visit, the garage had been cleaned.

Well unless the visit was this afternoon I saw no sign of a TfL visit.

I never knew NS would even have space for another route, but then again drivers aren't always right Maybe I could see my 86 moved to WH I think this is possible, but probably best to await an official result

HOWEVER, if something like this were to happen I'd imagine the 103 would transfer to RM to make room for something like the 498 and 499 at NS (or both.) The DD fleet at RM already has 103 on the blinds- in effect the GAL drivers would be jumping over to the other side of the fence in Rainham

Because BE & RM are next door to each other maybe, so the drivers don't have to move to NS with the route, instead they will be compensated with work on the 103 hardly difficult to work out really tbh... If Such a rumour is true...

You have a point there, my main reason for posting it though was that both garages are located in Rainham, apologies @dan

I wouldn't see the point of the 86 getting the 177 Scanias, Considering by the time the 86 will only have about a year till renewal and I am guessing Hybrids would be preferable for a route which is always clogged up in traffic.

Wouldn't it be easier to just move the 498 to RM instead of moving it to NS and 103 to RM, as the 498 drivers could be TUPEd to RM, as they would be more familiar with the route?
Plus what would be used, should this happen? If the 177s Scanias would be used then this would be easier operationally, as NS is currently a fully ADL garage (and interestingly the only one at Stagecoach!) so it would make sense that RM gets SPs rather then NS.

I agree. However, I think it would make more sense for the 177's buses to go to the 294 and 247. Alternatively, they could go to the 97 with the Omnicities continuing into the new contract from 2017. Just need wait until Spring 2015 to find out...
