he means all passengers pay same fares you should know that, What would passengers paying the same fares have to do with the dispute? If you heard it he clearly said that all drivers collect the same fares. you mentioned what the union rep said I am just saying what he meant, I don't know if it is got anything to do with strike or not,

The Tower Transit boss Neil Smith was on the news today - apparently, Tower Transit have been asking again & again to have talks with the unions and they simply refuse to talk. If that's true, I have to say that's no way to conduct this type of situation - stands offs only lead to bad things!

I saw two P13's heading towards New Cross 5 mins apart just after 2pm. Passenger loads were about three on each bus!
While on the 363, that was suffering from bunching, which led to me waiting 25 mins for a bus to Peckham and on the way back I boarded the second bus which was 2 mins behind the leader.

People are just being pedantic about the situation.
I think it's disgusting that low pay and rubbish t &c's are a reason why an operator can win a route.
Tfl can fix this by leveling the playing field in regards to wages and t&c's, They can't simply wash their hands of it.
Yes the private operators might run the buses but it's practically a tfl cartel anyway what with the fines and terms they impose of operators the buses they specify and the fact they're branded with tfl owned logos etc etc.
There are many other ways tenders could still work with level wages. Actual route performance and customer service could come in to it and distance from the garage etc not just the cheapest race to the bottom wins.
Oh and before anyone goes oh fares will go up, before last year there hadn't been any pay rises at Stagecoach for years and fares still rose substantially in that period.

The whole point of sub contracting work to a third party, and not just in the bus industry, is that you can wash your hands of any pay disputes and such like. If TfL were going to get involved in pay and conditions they may just as well employ the drivers themselves and cut out the middle men (ie the bus operators) and I suspect that is Unite's real objective, basically a return to LT.

There was a police car outside TC today, and lots of drivers were standing outside the garage protesting. no buses were parked on the street so TC wasnt full I heard a report on the last strike day of pickets verbally abusing an Abellio driver on the 407 and passengers on the the bus coming to his defence and calling the strikers lazy so and so's and things getting heated before the police intervened. That was from me. Unless you heard differently, my brother's 407 driver was also being verbally abused

Based on what I've witnessed in my area, the 206 is running in both directions albeit with an irregular frequency. Nothing on the 36 and 187. Strangely I've only recently witnessed the 6 and 316 running Eastbound/Northbound
