I only ever read this thread but these changes seem fairly confusing to me - I dread to think what Jo Public will think tomorrow

I only ever read this thread but these changes seem fairly confusing to me - I dread to think what Jo Public will think tomorrow As with all changes there will be annoyed and confused people and then people will progressively learn what's changed and what bus to catch. The biggest problem will be new operators taking on new routes because we all know what happens on first days. I actually think the Orpington changes are going to be far, far more confusing for people simply because you have a much older population of users who don't cope with change particularly well. I can also see "objectors" blockading new roads that are getting a bus service for the first time. You know what some people are like and the local paper will just love laying it all on with a trowel and portraying everything as a disaster.

In my opinion Tower Transit won't last with the 13 I can see it going back to Sovereign.

In my opinion Tower Transit won't last with the 13 I can see it going back to Sovereign. Why? They won the route (ie the 82) from Metroline not Sovereign anyway.

Last day today, before the changes kick in tomorrow, so I have been out and about. Travelled from Golders Green to Victoria (and back again) on RML900. I think this is the first and only time a RML has been on the 82. Met other enthusiasts on the bus including RandomBusGirl.

so I'm trying to get this correct the now 13 is going the 82 is becoming the 13 and going to tower transit the 139 will now go to golders green and is being run by London sovereign Yes. In a nutshell the Finchley Road changes are:-
Bus 13 rerouted to run North Finchley - Victoria. Operated by Tower Transit (was London Sovereign) Bus 82 withdrawn Bus 113 re-routed so instead of going to Marble Arch, it will go to Oxford Circus. It will run Edgware Station - Oxford Circus Continue to be operated by Metroline Bus 139 extended from West Hampstead to Golders Green. It will run Golders Green Station - Waterloo. Operated by London Sovereign (was Metroline) Bus 189 re-routed to Marble Arch instead of Oxford Circus. It will run Brent Cross Shopping Centre - Marble Arch. Continue to be operated by Metroline.

Just to add to your nutshell Old N13 route - withdrawn New route 13 - becomes a 24 hour service Victoria - North Finchley N113 - unchanged
