Normal days this early finish on the N199 is not going to suit many commuters. I've used the last N47 after 5am a few times and its like being on the 25. The Timetable is so precise that after last N199 from St Mary Cray 03:45, follows the 1st 208 to Lewisham at 04:05 and no more N199 trips to Trafalgar Square in Orpington. Even though buses will run the full trip, however for some early morning commuters it may mean 208 & 47 instead of taking the N47 only. And while the integrated 199/N199/208 timetable may have looked neat and tidy in the TfL Head office I expect there will be complaints about the loss of a through service at early commuting times. It's rather stupid to take off buses which are very well used - I assume by people who can't afford to take the train or tube. That runs completely contrary to the "political narrative" about trying to help less well off workers. Putting up their travel costs isn't sensible either. And that very early finish to the N199 destroys one of my itineraries for a "round London by Night Bus trip". The only night it would be feasible is Sat Night / Sun morning which is possibly not the best night to be circumnavigating London. Normal days this early finish on the N199 is not going to suit many commuters. I've used the last N47 after 5am a few times and its like being on the 25. If the N199 has resulted in the last few nb trips to Trafalgar Square being withdrawn, they should really be put back ASAP.

Is it tommorw morning the 132,154 etc start of Saturday night. Same with the 47, N199 changes? Yes - from Fri night / Sat morning. Ironically the TfL website has not been updated to reflect the new timetables. However the Traveline Southeast site *has* been updated and even more ironically it uses TfL panel timetables for each stop so the data does exist because TfL have supplied it to Traveline. So far I've found the new info for the 47, 53, 132, 154, 486, N199 and N68. There doesn't seem to be a new timetable for the 176 tho.

The blinds are like that for the N136 & N199, the font is slighty shorter in Height, compared to previous blinds.

Noteworthy that the bus stop tiles have not been updated for the 47, N47, N199 changes. Also seen via Twitter that Lewisham stops haven't been done either. This is really very very poor indeed. Are we seeing Sir Peter Parker's "crumbling edge of quality" [1] now visiting TfL? [1] a quote from a former Chairman of British Rail (for our younger readers).

Yes indeed and is causing confusion, some poir lady was waiting for a N199 at the 199 stop, the driver stopped at the 47 stop and then drove off. Well tbh all the stops should have been at least updated, TFL are usually always on the go with updates. Also baring on mind many other routes with changes commencing this morning so it is a lot of work to do.

This is an overnight change but so are many others and TfL have been happy to change things over in advance (e.g. removing all traces of the W11 diversion a fortnight! before the route actually changed). Let's hope that the bus stop people are out over the weekend to get it all sorted by Monday morning for commuters. I am also somewhat amazed that the N133 buses didn't have Morden put on them - that change has been mooted for many months. I have tweeted TfL to tell them the bus stops on the 47, N47 and N199 haven't been updated - they'll probably take no notice but hey ho!

I didn't see any updated timetables for the 154 and N133 in Morden the stops have not been amended yet. Poor advertising will not help these new routes at all.

For those who enjoy a laugh have a read of Diamond Geezer's blog about the missed launch of the Night Tube. Classic stuff.

Wikipedia (most reliable source in the world, I know) offers slightly different lengths. N9 is 'only' 16 miles, N89 is 21 miles, N199 is unspecified (should be ~ 22 miles), X26 is 23.75 miles. To be fair to Mr Munster, he does say "The miles/km figures have been measured by myself, so some may be slightly adrift.", which is perfectly reasonable of him on his great site.
