< dons sackcloth and ashes > Oh woe is me. The end of the world is nigh. Tube trains shalt not run and we shall be ruined. Thou legs shalst be stretched and buses shall be delayed uponst thy highways. So endeth my travails and complaint.

Should it go ahead again, I'll make sure I leave the house earlier than last time! I heard that it was jam packed at Wood Green at 6am! Although the traffic and journey times were a joke, it was enjoyable to catch something different.

I've done customer assistant duty at Turnpike Lane but with the advantage of there being some service on the Vic and Northern during previous strikes. If I wanted to get into town and was in the area I'd be tempted to take the 41 to Crouch End Broadway and take a 91 from the first time. It's a bit away from tube stations so might be a viable alternative in that part of town. Obviously it does parallel the tube further south so will be packed out on that stretch.

My suspicion is that if everyone in Crouch End knows the tube is definitely not running they'll switch to the 91 over getting a W3/W7 to Finsbury Park (to get an idea of numbers, anyone familiar with the area will know the insane 50-100+ snake queues that build up for the W7 outside the town hall). You'll want to be at the first or second stop to guarantee a seat, I imagine them leaving Crouch End full.

I can see the night the start date slipping now. On a lighter note let the bus rally commence

Would be funny if another strike was called on the day the night tube starts...

Never mind, at least the papers have found a diversion from the typical Greek headlines this week

Would be funny if another strike was called on the day the night tube starts... Side stitching. I would have to work two years + to get close to what tube drivers are paid - I have no sympathy sorry Even once this is resolved it will be something else.

Once this is resolved, they'll strike again for more and more and more. It will never end :/

Glad someone shares my view - I'd have to work probably more than two years to get anywhere what they earn.

I think bus drivers should be paid closer to tube drivers.
