Ah just beaten to it. What on earth happened there to make the bus veer across the road and hit the tree? Doesn't look good at all.

Thank goodness it wasn't an LT or some people would be at fever pitch on here!
But seriously best wishes to those who have been injured, hopefully not to serious.

The only hope would be if the chassis wasn't damaged, which looks like it probably was. Hope no one was seriously injured and that all make full recoveries.

Slap of paint and it'll be back out tomorrow. ! Joking aside....
Mechanical failure. I won't go into details especially as I've known the driver for quite a few years but it wasn't down to driver error.

Happened just past where the 104 and 474 turn around, around 100 yards past the mini roundabout. Here

It was quite scary to see the aftermath of that incident, especially as that's so close to home and in the 9 years of Go Ahead operations nothing serious that i can recall has happened on the route. The damage is shocking, so I'm hoping the driver is in good spirits & making a full recovery along with the passengers injured.

It reminds me of the one on Kennington Road a couple of years ago where a DW on the 159 had to swerve to avoid another driver and sadly hit the tree. I can't blame anyone for being scared just looking at it, especially if involved.
