The S6 hardware quality is a lot better than their previous offerings, that's for sure! The whole '3D Touch' thing is just a gimmick really. Android has had a similar function for years now. That's CrApple for you If you want a well manufactured phone with a user experience that's not too 'in your face' (like Samsung's TouchWiz is) then I'd say go for the Xperia series. Great build quality, great aesthetic design, and a great user experience that's similar to Stock Android (like the Nexus series) but offers added features on top. Camera quality is amazing also. My Xperia Z2 has a 20.7MP camera that I use for my Flickr photos. The difference being that you be will able to use the 3D Touch software on a solid working phone as apposed to using it on a Samsung that's inflicted with issues a plenty. Sony phones do seem solid TBH in all departments and I believe they are getting popular again though I wonder if they'll be as popular as the Sony Erricson 'walkman' phones - they were very popular and I always wanted one at the time but sadly never owned one. Should you get a good Samsung you will barely have issues, Samsung make a variety of different phones with different price ranges. If you buy one at a similar price to an iPhone there won't be nearly as much problems as one that is much cheaper. I used to have a Walkman phone, a Sony Erricson W205. Lasted me a good 4 years which is quite a while for phone standards. Then I made the worst mistake of my life and got a Blackberry. Back in 2012 there was a "BB Wave" where everyone suddenly decided to get a BlackBerry. My phone lasted exactly a year from 25th March 2012 to 25th March 2013. Then I decided to move back to Sony and ended up with an Xperia Miro. It was a really good phone for its price and I really liked it however its touchscreen did start to become unresponsive and as I had started using my phone a lot more I felt it was best to move onto a Contract Phone. That's when I saw the Huawei Ascend P6 which looked like and was a really good value for money. I never had a problem with this phone while I had it and it served me well. However not much people buy Huawei phones Then that brings me onto my current phone which is a Galaxy S6.

It started off fine but then it would throw up stupid faults for no sensible reason such as taking a picture and then immediately freezing for about a hour until miraculously recovering. It would also muck up my Duran Duran music collection which is criminal lol.

Black Friday (27th) and cyber Monday afterwards should create some bargains of interest, for smartphones or otherwise.

After weeks of deliberation the phone tender results are in Supplier : EE Contract term 24 months Cost per month £32.50 - Unlimited calls - Unlimited texts and 5gb Data Phone Samsung S6 I know I was against the S6 but after reading various reviews I decided to try one more Android phone. And I save nearly £15 per month by switching to EE

You also seem to have a very generous data allowance compared to me (250MB per month LOL)

Snoggle's results are now the last tranche for this year left to be announced!!! lol I fear TfL will manage to announce every o/s tender before I decide. To be honest I reset my old phone and it behaves itself rather better so I'm not in the market. I really can't justify a new phone if my existing one works given the low usage I make of it. It'd be throwing money away which I can't afford to do. I am grateful for all the suggestions people made though.
