Decided to use the Overground home yesterday as I ended up in Euston and the Victoria Line was right there, upon arrival at Blackhorse Road the platform was packed, the train that arrived a few minutes later was also full to the rafters but thankfully a large handful of people got off, although more people needed to get on than got off and it wasn't long until you had the whole train filled with people and people shouting through the carriage Even ended up with a member of LO staff at most stations needing to push people into the train so that doors could close.Hopefully this is a sign that patronage is starting to pick up on the line again seeing as there aren't anymore long term closures expected on the line. Surely illegal in this country. If anybody in uniform tried to push me onto a train, I'd be asking him/her for his/her details so I could report them for assault.

Probably illegal, but I think most commuters would rather be forcibly pushed onto a train instead of missing the train and then needing to wait 15 minutes for the next one.

On the Underground, everyone pushes each other in but presumably you won’t be reporting loads of passengers for assault - honestly, it sounds like a jobsworth comment from yourself.

Commuters push and shove all the time but Eastlondoner62 seemed to be referring to a deliberate push which amounts to assault. Your rather childish name calling is not appreciated. We are all grown ups on here.

We are all grown ups on here. I didn’t call you any names so don’t accuse me of something I’ve not said - I said your comment sounded quite pathetic IMO which is a different to name calling.

Probably illegal, but I think most commuters would rather be forcibly pushed onto a train instead of missing the train and then needing to wait 15 minutes for the next one. If someone forcibly shoves me, they get a shove back and a shout. Funnily enough they then back off. If a member of staff did that then I would certainly be reporting it.
If a member of staff shoved anywhere else on the station it would be considered an assault, so why is it any different here?

Quite liking the looks of these. Not sure the USB ports are in the most useful position and wonder how long they will be usable for...

Weird to think that the humble Gospel Oak to Barking Line trains will have better features than the regal Elizabeth Line.

Weird to think that the humble Gospel Oak to Barking Line trains will have better features than the regal Elizabeth Line. I would not be astonished if TfL opt to retrofit some of the 710 features on the 345s once the features' robustness and reliability have been tested. I'm not convinced by the usb sockets - I can see them being stuffed full of chewing gum and paper and rendered inoperable in short order. Things like the wifi, extra door buttons and advert screens and better pole positions just seem like common sense to me. If anything was to move across quickly it'd be the wifi and advert screens (assuming the 345s don't get wifi by the time the full Crossrail service starts). I understand the running tunnels have the requisite leaky feeder to allow for data and telephony.

Weird to think that the humble Gospel Oak to Barking Line trains will have better features than the regal Elizabeth Line. I know it's 18 years ago but seems like only yesterday the service on the GOBLIN was severely restricted hourly I think , didn't operate on Sundays and had ageing heritage Class 121 DMU's operating it when the Class 150's came they were a dream ! how times have changed and how quick it seems to of gone .

STOP PRESS:
There will no more additional peak time "overcrowding buster" extras on the GOBLIN- including the sole direct train that runs through onto the North London Line- as from tomorrow (2nd July 2018) as one of the units has already been sent back off lease! The standard 15 minute interval will operate (as per the TfL timetable posters and online timetable).
This will also leave the line with NO spare train, 7 trains to cover a PVR of 7...

That is ridiculous. People will not be able to travel without those extras.
