That’s disappointing, to say the least. You couldn’t make it up.

This was the ORR approval letter dated 11th April, and it was copied to Director of Rolling Stock TfL (it says so on page 4), so you wonder what part of his job he has been doing for last 6 weeks, if he couldn’t manage to hand a copy to his Operator orr.gov.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0004/40981/interoperability-authorisation-bombardier-class-710-2019-04-11.pdf

Thanks for letting us know. Meanwhile Lets wait and see on Thursday but i am doubtful about that Realtimetrains is showing some extra workings on Thursday but they start at around 1100 or so. Nothing for Thursday's AM peak. I've read posts on rail uk that say that Wednesday's workings have all been removed but they were there when I looked a while back. I know these online systems are a moving feast so not doubting what you've said. It does seem a tad disappointing but you can see why TfL haven't said a word about any of this.

The amount of faffle involved at getting a train on the rails in passengers service is a joke. You would think it was a matter of commissioning the next space shuttle to go onto Pluto.

And of course there are *never* any problems with getting new bus designs into passenger service (cough TA1 tri-axle cough) are there?

Councillor Loakes (Waltham Forest) has just shared the following on our local Facebook group. I've seen precisely the same thing posted on another forum by a different Waltham Forest councillor. As it looks like that is a formal stakeholder comms notice from TfL then I guess we can we be reasonably reassured that 710s will be out tomorrow. I can't believe TfL would issue this unless they were certain (as far as anyone can be) the trains will run. Also good to see that the intention is to run an increased service at weekends as well as weekdays.
