Quick question (not on topic, although related): How many rounds do you drivers normally have to do? Given there's no major traffic problems or anything. I'm sure it varies from route to route, right? Yes it depends entirely on the length of the route. Obviously we are restricted to 5.5 hours driving at a time so it depends on how many rounders on a given route you can fit into that time. Just to give you an example, an average duty on the 208 (fairly long route) would be around 2.5 to 3 rounders, and on a 227 (short route) you might do 5 or 6. Quick question (not on topic, although related): How many rounds do you drivers normally have to do? Given there's no major traffic problems or anything. I'm sure it varies from route to route, right? Also depends on day if the week high or low frequency, peak journeys, tine it starts ... For example late shift mon-fri on E10 one duty (115) will do 2 and a quarter round trips on the 1st half then do 3 round trips but another duty (117) will do 2 and a quarter 1st half and 1 and a half second. I've got the pdf for the duties if I wanted to sit and work out the average... So I take it there is no set amount of rounders you have to do? It's simply restricted to how long you are allowed to drive (5.5 hours). @ryan , what's the largest amount of rounds you've completed when you drove the 25?

Although the 5.5 hour rule will open a whole other can of worms which I'm sure is best left for another day lol

If you have say 5 mins stand time 3 times, within it, then that is 15 mins deducted from it. This is per half.
You can see some example duty cards on the link below from this forum. tangytango.proboards.com/thread/8754/route-444-duty-23-2009 tangytango.proboards.com/thread/8755/route-w15-duty-44-2009 tangytango.proboards.com/thread/8756/route-w16-duty-14-2005 tangytango.proboards.com/thread/8757/route-w16-duty-18-2005 tangytango.proboards.com/thread/8758/route-w15-duty-74-2009

Or some duties don't have a break 7 hours 45 mins driving with stand time totalling 45 mins. But generally the unions have agreed duties that are well within driving limits

For a short route like the 129 I wonder how many drivers get bored of it. Must be like 8 or 9 rounders a day, carrying empty double deckers. The morning and evening peak the only busy times on that route really.

I've driven every route at MB as of last September, the R8 being the last one to do.
