R9 at Metrobus. Must be mind-numbingly boring. 1st job on Sunday does 10 rounders....yawn and yes I've done it. I've driven every route at MB as of last September, the R8 being the last one to do. That was my rota for a while. Fancied a nice easy life on the country bumpkin routes. Famous last words!

Ok you get some idiots in the lanes who don't move out of the way but after getting the paper out they soon go backwards haha.

I remember the first time I did the 464 and no one told me it goes down to one bus after a certain time. So there was me sat at Biggin Hill Airport wondering where the bloody hell the other bus was coming off Salt Box Hill.

Always remember asking to come off the 233 rota onto the rota with R8/464/R2 and B14 on it and being told that they think roads are too tight for me being a new driver. Only to ask for overtime at the front desk and be given the 464.......

Driven the following TFL routes;
Buses - 3, 35, 40, 94, 156, 188, 211, 343, 344, 381, 407, 452, 490, 607, C1, C2, C3, C10, H91, U4, N3, N35
DLR Bank to Canary Wharf Canary Wharf to Prince Regent Island Gardens to Westferry
London Overground Anerley to New Cross Gate Clapham Junction to Canada Water Harrow & Wealdstone to Watford Junction South Tottenham to Barking
London Underground Baker Street to Wembley Park Finchley Road to Stanmore (via Golders Green to Edgware) Hammersmith to Northfields Hammersmith to Wimbledon Morden to Tooting Broadway Queens Park to Wembley Central Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway Tower Hill to Barking Waterloo to Canada Water Wembley Park to Northwood
Tramlink Reeves Corner/East Croydon to Sandilands Wimbeldon to Ampere Way
I prefer fairly long routes with a lot of people and drama along the way, with off peak trip times of about 55-75 minutes. What enhances a route for me is the suitability of the buses - there are a few dynamic factors involved. Top speed, acceleration rate, throttle responsiveness, mirror magnification, door speed, ability to override emergency door button applications, steering lock and braking force to name but a few.
Favourite without a doubt was the 607 due to the limited stop nature and wicked buses on it. Closely followed by the N3 when I got to take Euro 2/3 TAs on it. Well maintained TAs are about as versatile as you can get in a double decker.
Least favourite was the 40 - short and padded out to an insane level - I had enough when I left the stand, drove appropriately for the traffic conditions and three stops later, had to hold back for 8 minutes.

As it's London routes only it's half a list!
2, 11, 12, 14, 19, 22, 35, 36, 37, 44, 49, 68, 74, 77, 77A, 127, 133, 155, 156, 163, 176, 188, 196, 200, 201, 219, 239, 249, 270, 280, 295, 345, 355, 415, 417, 432, 501, 505, 507, 521, C3, N37 and (old) N87. Probably missed a few.
Actually, if I include everywhere I've worked then out of the batch 10 - 19, I only need to drive a 15 and an 18 somewhere to complete the set. Not impossible either....!

I've driven: 61, 208, 227, 246, 269, 314, 354, 636, 637, 638, 664, R5, R7 and R10 Not as impressive as some of the lists here but then I've only ever been at TB! My dad's list would be quite a bit longer and rather more impressive!
