I'm guessing that was a Metroline TP.

I'm guessing that was a Metroline TP. Looked more of a 51reg Abellio Trident to me. Edit: After seeing the second video, it definitely is a President.

It was a ex Metroline TP. confirmed - It had a blindset for the 558... according to its remains. First interior grab poles and charred purple seats hint at an ex Uxbridge vehicle. British Transport Police (BTP) might want to take a look at the large explosive device left by a passenger that is seen toward the back on the upper deck when they carry out their investigations

Much hated action on one of my favourite buses, just for an awful movie.

Zooming in on the pic Serverking posted, it appears to be TP1530/TN33333 - My favourite of the batch! Majorly cheesed off now!

Out of interest, could they not have used a bus fit for scrap rather than one suitable for further service?

I think the last digit of that fleet number is an eight, not a zero (so TP1538). At the risk of being shouted down, there are still plenty of that batch around alive and well if someone fancies preserving one. Not all buses can be saved.

I agree - I think sometimes we can get a bit rose tint glasses about old buses. This bus is what 13 years old? the market is flooded with ex London buses and its worth what 15k max? which would be nothing for a movie company.

That's what I thought it was at first, but 1538 never got used on the 558, having been stood down almost a year ago to the day (10/02/15)
