I wonder if you'll like this WVL considering its quick but has no kickdown. Will have to wait until a certain driver gets one on a certain late duty and by hopefully using a certain throttle trick the bus will hopefully go a bit faster lol

Heads up, the S4 buses are on ZF Is that the new AS-Tronic 'manual' box? Well, One day, the dog named John walked over the street. Suddenly, a pink car with three legs ran over the street. It stopped and asked for the 5`th session of Friends, but John told that it wasn`t made yet. The car was angry, and spitted Boris Johnson out of his mouth. Boris began duplicating and ate up all the Scooby-snacks. David Cameron shouted at Pikachu, and fired a missile at him. Pikachu evolved into Weedle, and throwed a burning banana at the car. The banana got angry, and tried to rule the world. John told the banana that Stewie Griffin ruled the world, and ate him. The banana tasted of old shoes, witch was not so weird, because it was Ed Miliband, Who is not a very nice person Steve then said "Yes, That new AS-Tronic lite automated manual transmission", The green pig with the bell, ran towards the car, and exploded like a sheep. Suddenly, the car started an earthquake, and the whole world turned into a ice cream. The orcs started an revenge on Donald Duck, and turned him into a pink panther. The old lady advanced into level 10, and turned into a Nick Clegg. Nick Clegg burned down all mushrooms, (which was the houses on the planet) and fried all flying carrots.

Cos EpoorHundreds are cheaper I wouldn't dare think about how much they would restrict that 9 litre lump in a B9 if the B7's are anything to go by, They are slow enough without anyone "messing" about with them They may have been even slower still as thet may have had the Voith option. Acceleration wise from a standing start a Euro 5 Voith B9TL is quicker to 30 than a ZF one

How comes Abellio has never ordered B9TL's for there routes and why E 400's & E 400 hybrids are more common to them? Cos EpoorHundreds are cheaper I wouldn't dare think about how much they would restrict that 9 litre lump in a B9 if the B7's are anything to go by, They are slow enough without anyone "messing" about with them

Can older euro5 E40Hs be modified to have the start-stop feature? Also, can the older hybrids be modified so that the engine revvs less, like with the euro6 versions? In theory I can't see why not, a simple play about with the ECU, the stop start might take a little more work but as there are already Euro 5 E400H's with this feature I'm sure it could be implemented on others

Are drivers allowed to listen to the cab radio whilst driving with passengers on board? Twice I've the same driver on the T33 (on two separate occasions) where the radio has been on, loud enough so I could hear it sitting quite a way back. I'm not complaining as I quite enjoy it, I'm intrigued though as to whether this is allowed with disgression? Cab Radio, You mean centrecomm ? You don't have a choice, you can't turn it off !!!

That sound like a Volvo fan working how it should be in the first place The fan is meant to gradually come on as the bus is braking and gradually turn off if the bus isn't being hammered full pelt - that's my understanding of the cooling fan working properly on the 100's of Volvo's I've rode. What I heard on VW1560 did not sound right and I've only heard 6112 do the same though the cooling fan turned off permanently after a while despite the bus still being hammered. No, the fan should come on at any point where the engine temp is above 90c (I think it's that) and then turn off when below 87c (something like that) nothing to do with if the bus is being hammered or not, The fan increases RPM with the engine RPM

VW1560 on the 607 with a dodgy cooling fan - it would only come on in low revs and as soon as the bus gained revs, the cooling fan automatically turned off. That sound like a Volvo fan working how it should be in the first place

First of all I want to stress that this is to be treated as unconfirmed rumour. I was told by a relief inspector behind the counter that ALL of our Scania deckers at Metrobus are being sold and replaced with WVL's that come available from NBFL conversions. Go-Ahead want to standasise the fleet and don't like the Scania's and the secondary reason apparabtly is the Scania's use too much diesel. But I wasn't told what or when. I do find this hard to believe that all are going, theres just not enough WVLs about to replace the whole lot. I have a feeling think it will be more just the knackered 400 series that are replaced, plus why give BE all the Olympus's and 887/8/9 to BX/BV (when they do go) if they dont like the Scanias. Because Go-Ahead have no idea what they are doing and all they seem to care about is how much money they make I do find that hard to believe, and I don't see where all the WVL's would come from, there aren't many spare, only spare buses at the moment are the 453's Enviro 400's which could go anywhere at the moment
