Noticed some of the former Croydon EH's now at PM are receiving their new blind sets which have Croydon Town Centre on one line instead of two.

More cross London routes due to the cuts.

I'm on EH341 on the 197 and that has lost the Metrobus branding.

Is driver changeover for the 197 now at Nigel Road, Clayton Road or the Bus stn?

No debranding of any EH's which were at C until yesterday. Only subtle change is they use PM plates on the side of the bus rather than the Metrobus yellow number paper inside the window. EH330 has had Metrobus fleetnames removed, saw it go past me in Croydon earlier. It’s also got PM garage codes on the sides and new blinds EH330 moved to PM first for training purposes.

Spotted EH330 in Penge debranded of their Metrobus branding. Appears to be training PM drivers using the cameras for when the 197 moves from C.

You have to have zonal borders somewhere. Are you advocating moving Bromley North to Zone 5? No, Bromley South to Zone 4. It’s just silly having two stations in the same town in different zones. Moving Bromley South to Zone 4 would reduce revenue for Southeastern and Thameslink. It's fair that a station that has fast services has a slightly more expensive fare than that of another where you have to change at least once to get into London Terminals.

I was investigating ways to reply (none of the proposals directly affect my local area so don't plan to respond) and this "survey" is mostly vague questions with one box to suggest improvements that's hidden in the other questions. It's not a particularly clear process, maybe I've missed something? I agree. Looks like one box for additional comments at the end which you can hardly write comments for every route you don't agree with in. I'd actually say I think the 12 will attract alot of attention as after decades there won't be a link from Peckham and Camberwell to Trafalgar Square and Oxford Circus. Camberwell will still have the 176 which serves Trafalgar Square.

I know I shouldn't be fixating on the numbers - they're the least important bit really - but it all becomes a lot clearer once you see through TfL's Numberwang. The 24 is still there really: it's just lost the Westminster Abbey to Pimlico bit and been diverted over the 88 to Clapham instead. The 205 is really the 214 shortened to PHF and extended to Mile End with a tweak around Liverpool St. The old 88's still there, just extended to Highgate and shortened to Pimlico. The 11's still there, just rerouted over the 211 to Waterloo. There are some genuinely bad cuts but there's also a lot of smoke and mirrors to make it look even worse. And the 12 is still there between Parliament Square and Dulwich and regains the western end of the old route reconnecting Peckham with Notting Hill, Holland Park and Shepherd's Bush. The 148 was originally created to maintain links from Camberwell and Walworth Road with those parts of West London.

Interesting how Bermondsey will get two trunk routes. The 1 from Hampstead Heath to Canada Water and the 388 from Stratford to Peckham.

Those Thameslink trains between Nunhead and Peckham Rye will get even busier once the 78 has been scrapped which will only result in less people using buses as the P12 will be rammed.

Regarding the loss of bus services to hospitals, the access to Guys lost when the 40 was re-routed was ignored. They'll finally get their wish to cut the 53 which will see 12 and 53 passengers getting onto 453s to St Thomas'.

Puzzled. Why would you do that? Is it not cheaper and quicker to change at Canada Water for the Jubilee, using the pink validators so you don't get a zone 1 fare? First route that came off the top of my head but yes your correct that route you suggested is better but it still proves my main point I think that's another reason why the 78 is getting the axe. Peckham residents can get to Shoreditch using the Overground from Peckham Rye than on the bus.
