When they got agreement with the unions a few years ago to recruit T/Ops off the street there was a 65% failure rate.

Can remember a time when the 210 went as far east as Leytonstone and was operated out of T with RFs.

Why don’t Stagecoach use E as a final letter on their regs?Noticed they don’t have them on their regs in Northants.

Train crew haven’t worked overtime for years, would think it was agreed with unions, other grades I think they can’t work more than twelve shifts in a fortnight.

I'm sure it's being worked on and will be sorted out in due course. Put it like this. Is the service running today. It is. Can people use this bus to get to their destinations. They can. Now if it was a case that no buses turned up today despite it being the start date then we'd have a major problem. But the blinds issue. That should hopefully be nipped in the bud soon enough The problem is that the bud shouldn’t have grown in the first place. A bus is a bus argument shouldn’t be used on the first day of a brand new service where publicity is key so that people know where the bus is going. Arriva themselves managed it perfectly fine on the SL1 and they knew the SL2 was coming for months so what happened here? A good portion of taxpayers and fare payers money is being injected into this and there should be more than half blinded buses and buses with paper in the window. When they reorganised the buses in Walthamstow when the Victoria Line opened, every household in the area got a leaflet through the door with al the changes and it was still chaos fo the first couple of weeks.

The original garages were given single letter codes that didn't have any relevance to the area eg:A=Sutton. However ex trolley bus depots did have codes relevant to it’s area eg:LB=Lea Bridge & IF=Ilford.

Used to live in a road that had the Barking-Kentish Town line running along the bottom in the steam and early diesel days, had freight trains running 24/7 weekdays plus the passenger trains all week, also had a coal yard(Queens Rd)& goods yard(Boundary Rd) with trains shunting during weekdays.Never disturbed us.

Just thinking,if Covid hadn’t happened would the bus network have continued to grow rather than the cuts we’re seeing now.
