I pretty much agree with you there, maybe the 6 and 10 using Wigmore Street? I will plump for the 139, 98 and maybe 10 or 390. The 6 is already going to be re-routed and the 139 will be the last bus left on the Oxford Street, Regent Street, Strand routing so that's why I have chosen that route. I would argue you need a EW service to TCR / Holborn and the 98 is a reasonable choice. The 10 may be re-routed via Shaftesbury Avenue / Piccadilly, but would also be a good contender, while if you are looking to keep the link to Victoria it is the 390. In opposition of pedestrianising Oxford Street, I would allow the 6, 10, 23, 73, 94, 98, 139 and 390 to continue serving/retain their close proximity to Oxford Street. In order to tackle congestion along Oxford Street, I would reroute the 23 and 98 via Wigmore Street and reroute the 94 and 139 via Brook Street (e/b) / Maddox Street and Grosvenor Street (w/b). Journeys heading e/b on both routes would be rerouted via St. George Street / Conduit Street to access Regent Street and w/b journeys would turn left from Regent Street to Maddox Street / Grosvenor Street. The s/b 139 can access this routing from Selfridges by heading straight along North Audley Street and n/b journeys can turn right from Grosvenor Street to Park Street to line of route. The 6, 10, 73 and 390 can continue serving Oxford Street due to their popularity and busy nature. Regarding the rest of the Oxford Street routes, the 159 can be curtailed to Oxford Circus or perhaps extended to Great Portland Street. The 30, 113 and 189 can terminate at Portman Square, leaving Marble Arch for the 7 and 137. The 2, 13, 74 and 274 would be untouched. This would ease congestion along the western part of Oxford Street.

And it surely cannot make sense that if you were keeping three routes it would be 10, 73 and 390, which all come from the same direction? You have also left nothing from the Finchley Rd/Swiss Cottage corridor getting anywhere near Oxford Circus.

I'm aware of what's happening, however this is what I would personally like to happen and these ideas are arguably more logical than what TFL are proposing/have proposed. The routes I chose to reroute along Wigmore Street and Brook Street/Grosvenor Street are not for any particular reason other than prioritising the busier routes I chose to remain along Oxford Street due to their popularity there. However, they can easily be changed without issue, i.e. the 6 and 139 or the 10 and 23 can swap routings. Furthermore, it's worth noting that there wouldn't be any hardship with rerouting the aforementioned routes as such given their close proximity to Oxford Street, providing adequate signage and effective access to and from the relocated bus stops would also help considerably.

Bus stops on Oxford Street have had 6 and 73 removed. I forgot to check whether the 390 tiles have moved to the Stops for buses going to Park Lane.

The 73 is indeed using the Hollies Street stand as per the 25, the result is buses often parked on both sides of the road. The new arrangement doesn't seem to be working too well if this is anything to go by www.flickr.com/photos/105118016@N05/34555008603/in/dateposted-public/I saw a VP on the 6 still with 'via Oxford Circus' on the side blind and a driver on the 390 bombing up Park Lane in the outside lane missing the Speakers Corner shop, oh dear!

At long last it looks like the political opposition at City Hall has woken up and realised what is or, more pertinently, is not going on with the bus network / consultation / impact of the changes in and around Oxford St. About time!
