Link to 31 March ReportTfL have updated the fleet audit report which comes out quarterly, fleet has grown to 9616 buses. There may be some timing issues here, but the pvr cuts now coming in, are likely to see this fall back to a more normal figure (around 8800 buses) includes 953 new routemasters 71 electric buses 8 fuel cell buses 1582 hybrids (excluding NRMs) Age profile includes 10 Routemasters (0.1%) 12 buses from 2001 (0.1%) 157 buses from 2002 (1.6%) 442 buses from 2003 (4.6%) 297 buses from 2004 (3.1%) 315 buses from 2005 (3.3%) 331 buses from 2006 (3.4%) 292 buses from 2007 (3.0%) There are plots of age profile in the report, quite a surge from 2009 when first of the low floor fleet came up for renewal. There are some years with over 1000 buses: 2009, 2011, 2016. Regarding emmissions on 31 March was : 10 euroII (routemasters) 1451 euroIII (15.1%) 1627 euroIV (16.9%) so 32.1% of fleet currently below euroV standard. If the fleet size falls to normal levels and the buses currently on order for tender wins replace euroIII buses, there will be just a few hundred euroIII left by this time next year. Link to spreadsheet (sorted by registation)For those interested apart from the 10 routemasters, the oldest 12 buses from 2001 are: Abellio 8436 8440 GoAhead DMN4 London United TA213, 214, 218, 220-225 The spreadsheet has 45 buses more than 15 years old (registered before 31/3/02)

New audit report is now published, total fleet has fallen slightly since March to 9590 There are 604 buses in first half of 2017 (400 double and 204 single) Emissions are now : EuroII 10 routemasters 0.1% EuroIII 1271 13.3% EuroIV 1588 16.6% EuroV 3336 34.8% EEV 564 5.9% EuroVI 2742 28.6% Fleet at 30 June included 978 NRMs, 71 electric, 8 fuel cell and 2729 hybrids so nearly 30% no longer pure diesel Link to report Link to previous reports and excel sheet of whole fleet (sorted by reg number) but showing official route allocations of every bus if you want to manipulate the data probably will have to copy it to new excel sheet as it has been saved with dropdowns locked, can then sort by company etc There are age profile tables for both single and double deck, surprisingly there are now a mere 7 2004 single decks in the fleet RATP has oldest fleet, CT Plus the youngest Apart from the 10 proper routemasters, oldest are the 11 remaining 2001 buses (mainly the TAs on 131 which loses its contract in September)

What about Abellio's immortal 8440 Dart, swear this one is Euro2 and probably the oldest non-RM bus still in London/TfL service

What about Abellio's immortal 8440 Dart, swear this one is Euro2 and probably the oldest non-RM bus still in London/TfL service It is Euro II but everything in London has emission traps of other technology fitted so technically it is Euro V or somewhere along the lines - however, I find it easier to go by it's actually emission is none of the technology was fitted which means it would be Euro II

Sometime in last few days, the 30th September fleet audit has been belatedly published (wasn’t there few days before Christmas) tfl.gov.uk/corporate/publications-and-reports/bus-fleet-data-and-auditsObviously this preceed the big November Operator/fleet changes. It is first time for many Quarters that the fleet has shrunk, probably something that will be a trend through 2018 As you would expect RATP has oldest fleet Table 4 (emissions standards) has a new euroIV+SCR category There will now be over 2000 hybrids plus almost 1000 NRMs, as at least 100 have entered service in Q4

Not sure if anyone else has had a look at the spreadsheet?
I noticed a few errors WDL1 is classed as Volvo B9TL. Also when you filter down the different operators it seems Tottenham garage seems to come under GAL group.
There's probably more.

Yeah, there is always errors every time it’s ‘updated’ - for example, things like Volvo B7TL Omnidekka have been dreamt up.

Presumably because there have been Mayor's Questions asking why it hadn't been updated for months and months. Another thing that's fallen off the radar because of staff cuts no doubt. A classic tactic is to not update or issue things and then see if anyone notices / complains. If no queries are raised then you just stop providing any updates.

Can anyone help me with a question please?
Do TfL keep copies of previous audit spreadsheets online somewhere, I can only see them going back to 2017. I'm doing a project and having the reports from 2001 onwards would be a huge help. I'm guessing that I'd have to write/email them.
