Yeah, I believe Bond Street has yet to be given to TFL and they'll start testing next year

Agreed, there is no reason it can't open in 2022 unless something suddenly goes catastrophically wrong.

This has been project managed terrible.
Stations should have been easily ready by now. Stinks of contractors going “we need more money, you have to oblige as there is no one that can do our work, pretty please” so the cash cow keeps paying out, same thing happened on the Jubilee Line to some extent and more so on the Jubilee Line Extension.

I haven't been to Ilford in recent times to see what the latest is on the construction of the new main entrance. Does anyone know the latest on this or have any pictures to show which stage they're at in terms of the construction

The next train from Abbey Wood to Paddington has been delayed by approximately 3 years and counting.
This is so dreadful that there is still no clue when this is going to open.
Crossrail is at the 3 year late mark now.

This is the final stage of testing and treats the railway as if it were fully operational. There will also be some evacuation exercises to train staff and the emergency services for evacuation of full trains in tunnels. Andy Byford has said that the Elizabeth Line will not open for public service until he is sure that it can operate reliably. I expect a soft opening with little advance notice; it is even possible the railway will open quietly without any notice at all.

Crossrail is at the 3 year late mark now. as you've said (many) times now Until then, the whole Crossrail project was incredibly complicated even before construction started with trains having to work with 3 types of signalling system, new rolling stock with new software etc etc Likewise, the JLE was a complicated project with the introduction of Platform Edge Doors and some of the delays were due to construction of a tunnel in Heathrow collapsing in 1994

After this fiasco with Crossrail, it would probably overrun by 10 years and cost around 1 trillion pounds.

I think the potential long term change in travel patterns, lack of TfL/ Central Government funding and "levelling up" agenda will put a stop to Crossrail 2 for at least a decade
