The Great Eastern Mainline hardly has any problems compared to what is happening to the west of London. Really? It wasn't nicknamed TfL Fail for nothing from people over in East London Oh yes it was a total disaster with people even calling for Abellio to take the line back at points. Its certainly improved a lot

Its certainly improved a lot I believe that was initially when it was first started. The line got much better after. It is no way got the problems like the western half where you regularly see it on the TfL status page for problems.

No, it had the issues long after it started as I was told by several East Londoners who regularly used it. Even myself encountered several issues with it at one point

It's just dawned on me - this date is also Andy Byford's last day in the job as TfL Commissioner, so I expect he will be around.

I have just noticed that Bond Street is going to have a entrance in Hanover Square, which is very close to Oxford Circus Station. So I wonder why TFL never factored in a underground passageway into Oxford Circus Station and have Bond Street as a double ended station like Farringdon and Liverpool Street? This would also make a good connection with the Victoria Line.

A decision was therefore taken not to connect it with the Elizabeth Line directly but continue with the OSi available with Bond Street.

I wonder if they will allow people to change between Bond Street and Oxford Circus as no extra cost so that the Victoria line and Elizabeth line have an interchange. Am I right in thinking the Victoria and line is the only one not to interchange? Bakerloo, Circle, Hammersmith at Paddington Circle, Hammersmith, Met at Liverpool Street District at Paddington Jubilee at Bond Street and Canary Whalf Northen at TCR and Moorgate (Liverpool Street) Central at Ealing Bdy, Bond Street, TCR, Liverpool Street and Stratford. The Piccadilly Line connects at Heathrow but not in the central area thou.

That is what the original post said an OSI will be available between Oxford Circus and Bond Street, allowing interchange at street level at no additional fare as long as it is within Oyster system time restrictions. Waterloo & City Tramlink Cable Car also do not connect

Just thought they would’ve built a Waterloo style passageway like they did with the Jubilee and Northern/Bakerloo. Such a great opportunity wasted, but this can only be built if possible. I wonder if this was considered. That is what the original post said an OSI will be available between Oxford Circus and Bond Street, allowing interchange at street level at no additional fare as long as it is within Oyster system time restrictions. Canary Wharf is such a poor connection., as the stations seems minutes apart, same with the DLR. Although There is no real connection with the Piccadilly, however Leicester Square is a very short walk down Charing Cross Road.

Even by building a Waterloo style passageway you do not eliminate the problem that Oxford Circus has/would have being that capacity within the station is already exhausted and adding in another line would probably not relieve this congestion but rather add to it. To have an underground interchange at Oxford Circus with the Elizabeth Line you would probably need to look at a partial or total station rebuild.
