Not sure but looking at live train departures trains seem to alternate between platforms 5 and 8 heading towards Paddington. OK so there must be crossovers to the west of Stratford Station. That’s correct there are crossovers which take you Down electric onto Platform 5 & Down Electric platform 8 to Up electric and ultimately into the COS. As a result of this, diverted C2C are serving platform 9&10 this weekend.

There also looks to be a crossover east of Stratford Station that could presumably be used as well for reversals.

Expect things to get worse from next week when the 427 is partially withdrawn Have to say that the timing is very bad considering that fares rise on Sunday!

It's either take 2 buses or cram onto a 607

What were the service pattern and amount of carriages used on the GWR/Heathrow Connect services between Paddington and Heathrow/West Drayton before 2016 when the Class 387 were introduced and long before TfL Rail took over the Heathrow services? One thing I know of Heathrow Connect was formed of 5 car Class 360 units until the 345's was introduced.

What were the service pattern and amount of carriages used on the GWR/Heathrow Connect services between Paddington and Heathrow/West Drayton before 2016 when the Class 387 were introduced and long before TfL Rail took over the Heathrow services? One thing I know of Heathrow Connect was formed of 5 car Class 360 units until the 345's was introduced.
Every 30mins they used 5car 360 and 322 9 × 4-car units plus 5 × 5-car units.

People don't always switch to trains they find alternative bus routes. Fares would have risen regardless. Whilst that's true it's still an inconvenience for people. It's either take 2 buses or cram onto a 607 There's no space to cram on a 607, it's just shoving people onto smaller routes e.g. 195

Trains will run from Shenfield to Liverpool Street Main Line (not serving Whitechapel), and from Paddington Main Line to Heathrow Airport and Reading.

It seems the majority of trains from Shenfield will terminate at Paddington. I thought more trains would head further west.
