Can the R11 take double deckers? It can but there's a turn which might cause a little problems

With the E5’s recent rerouting does it still have a restriction that prevents double deckers?

With the E5’s recent rerouting does it still have a restriction that prevents double deckers? The roads around Golf Links and Toplocks Estate isn't suitable for the E5 before the rerouting

The roads around Golf Links and Toplocks Estate isn't suitable for the E5 before the rerouting Could the Toplocks Estate at least take longer SDs? The proposed 495 (which is due to take over that section) seems like it could have more potential if extended beyond Hayes (or merged with another route such as the 350 or U7) - but 9m SDs may not be adequate capacity to go any further.

Wouldn't longer single deckers be a better solution than Double Deckers

Wouldn't longer single deckers be a better solution than Double Deckers But if it’s clear for double deckers why not use double deckers? Don't forget it is reported that 30-35% of passengers won't (or can't due to mobility) go upstairs, and something like 12% won't even use seats with a single step. Stairs take up lot of seating area downstairs which is why many operators prefer not to run double decks except on busiest routes
