A rare opportunity (probably never to be repeated) will take place between tomorrow at 09.00 and Friday at 16.00 approx., when terminating buses on the 25,55 and 73 at Oxford Circus will, in the case of all westbound journeys, NOT turn left into Regent Street but carry on along Oxford Street, turn left into New Bond Street, left again into Brook Street and back to line of route at Hanover Square. I very much regret not being able to be there to witness this,as my first job was in Brook Street in 1967, and I used the 25 from New Bond Street home after work to Victoria Station. In those pre-Victoria Line days, the 25 was hugely prolific at peak times at the Victoria end, and at 5.20 p.m. you could almost guarantee a bunch of five 25s, probably all having started from different destinations, would swing round from Oxford Street into Bond Street. If there was a roofbox RTL amongst them (and occasionally there were two such) I'd do my d*mnedest to get on one - my favourite bus of all time. On the morning journey to Brook Street I'd opt for the first journey on the offpeak 500 Red Arrow route, which ploughed new furrows for buses through Grosvenor Square and down Brook Street to Hanover Square and back on its circular journey down Oxford Street back to Victoria. The routeing didn't last too long, and has never been replicated since. If anyone's able to take photos of buses on this diversion and can post on Flickr I, for one, would be most grateful. I'm going to be there most of this week, I am looking forward to seeing this myself so I will post some pictures here if I get them.

The 95 and 105 are diverted via the E5's routing from Dormers Avenue bus stop to North Avenue bus stop. They aren't serving Dormer's Wells Lane, Burns Avenue and Carlyle Avenue. This is just proving that the E5 should be able to take longer buses, but of course TfL don't listen. The E5 is severely struggling. About 10 people and I were waiting at the Denbigh Road bus stop and each and every E5 was packed to the brim. 3 buses had to go past, until I could get on, but your guessed it: that bus was really crowded as well! I was shocked the 105 and 95 could do the Denbigh Road / Lady Margaret Road junction Does anyone know why the 105 and 95 were diverted today?

Looks like they were on diversion direct via North Road and not Thurston Road/Allendale Avenue/Denbigh Road. Although a few years ago due to roadworks on Carlyle Avenue I think the 95/105 were diverted via there for a few days until the diversion was switched to North Avenue. Denbigh Road itself is very narrow, doubt two buses could pass without one mounting the pavement. However, the turn into/out of Lady Margaret Road looks easy. Think the actual E5 issues are around either Featherstone Road (by the clinic), various parts of Golf Links Estate, or the u-turn in Medway Estate.

I'm sure the E5 could at least take 9.7 metre Enviro 200 MMCs. This is the mistake Abellio did when tendering for the E5, they won it with 8.9 metre buses, which are obviously insufficient. The second door would come in very handy.

Looking up LBR it seems it was only from the 12th to the 18th. TfL's status updates don't mention 315 having a disruption anymore (which had a disruption at the time of diversion). The forefront of Gleneldon Road and the bus-only access was closed hence the diversion.

Burdett Road is close off at Globe Road due to a traffic collision. Route 277 is diverted via Mile End Road, Cambridge Heath Road, Roman Road & Grove Road. 323 starts and terminates at Bow Common Lane. D6 diverted via Mile End Road, Globe Road & Roman Road. D7 starting and terminates at Limehouse Burnett Road. DDs can go down Globe Road and under the GEML bridge so why the 277 been round all the way to Whitechapel is quite odd?

Might be running late on this one, but on Monday in Lewisham I spotted diversion signs up for the 171 and 172. Does anyone know what sort of road disruption resulted in the 172 being diverted there? Surely it'd be easier to temporarily curtail it.

166 is diverted between Chipstead and Banstead due to roadworks in Woodmansterne. Buses are running direct between Chipstead Valley/ Rectory Lane and the terminus end of Banstead High Street via Outwood Lane and Holly Lane, meaning that buses are bypassing Pine Walk, Manor Way, The Readens, Woodmansterne Post Office, Merrymeet, Oaks Park, Fairlawn Grove, Croydon Lane South, Banstead/ The Woolpack and Glenfield Road. Buses heading towards Epsom Hospital will re-join the route at Casteton Drive. It's like the 166 has been transformed into an express service up until this Thursday
