Every single route at EW because EW only had one type of bus (TE) until 2017. TEHs sometimes trickle off the 113 but it's a rare occurance on routes like the 107. 221 is almost exclusively DWs too. I have to disagree on the TEHs straying off the 113. It appears EW are not differentiating between TEs and TEHs with route allocations. If you look at the history of each EW route, it appears every TEH at EW may have worked a route other than 113, even the 606. Even now (I know it’s a Sunday), there’s at least one TEH on the 107, 186 and 204. Edit: on LVF I also disagree to the routes sticking to any allocation whatsoever. An allocation means using the exact buses assigned to the routes. For the EW routes, the TEs go wherever, they interchange routes almost daily.

328 Hardly Ever Sees Anything Other Than It’s Allocated VH’s

The 358 always seems to have a full allocation of Citaros every day, but very occasionally sees Enviro 200s (the 126/284 ones). Good point. On the subject, the 413 does as well It saw a lot of banditised solos actually (mainly SR but classic also), and an odd MMC. Not the best example I'm afraid

I think the fact that the Citaro's can't be used on any other route is the key factor here, there are 19 Citaro's for a PVR of 17 so at least three would have to be VOR for an oddity to appear on the 358,

I think to sum up, the key formula here is routes in garages with only one batch of their vehicle type. Ie the 109 being the only double-deck route in BC, the 358 being the only 12m route at MB, could go on for quite a while as there are quite a few but you get the idea. Then you can’t get strays from other routes because it doesn’t adhere to that route’s vehicle type. Obviously there are a couple of exceptions because in some garages they don’t care if the length of the bus is shorter than the specified length. Ie occasionally a couple of single door buses appeared on the 195, and even a couple of single deckers on the E1 when Abellio were in dire straights. 😂

DE20106, 407 can take DDs at BC too and occasionally sees a 109 MMC. In fact, it has a school duty that is supposed to be double-deck but Beddington Cross are messing about with it terribly

I’m not surprised, the 407 is a hugely busy route. Thank god that doesn’t result in an E200 going on the 109😂 that would be catastrophic!

Last time these happened was for the Notting Hill Carnival - (in)conveniently when I was out of the country for holidays! Never knew a repeat took place recently. MV did 212 like last week or so, except in the typical fashion of a short appearance from 10pm There were apparently few late MV 69s which did no more than a rounder. Similar happened to the 30, an evening MV - and I had to be on a train from Birmingham and watch it get subbed on LVF 🙄 Lastly, a surprise MV 425 materialised when I was at work AM! Ohhhh, why do they bother No more VHs have appeared on the 58 since the one I got. I really don't get TT, MVs and VHs have the same dash!! Only 308 drivers seem to follow this, as there is now a VH at least once a week - note that only in the afternoon - usually 3pm-ish and earliest ever is 2pm - never before that 🤨

What’s a little more common on 328 is a VNW. There’s actually one on the 328 now (VNW32429)

I can remember that it was just before Midnight and I spotted it at Chippenham Gardens on the 328 heading s/b. VNWs are certainly more common on the 328 than MVs, albeit still rare.

Looking at LVF, there’s been at least 9 appearances of a VNW on the 328 this year already.

It says MV38232 appeared on 7/10 for about one hour just before midnight so it’s possible this was your sighting. Not too sure if a more recent appearance wouldn’t have been registered
