Fingers crossed Colombia turn up tonight - the injury to James Rodriguez could really hurt them though. Colombia have turned up - unfortunately they appear to have turned up for a fight ๐ Theyโve been pathetic I'm amazed the referee hasn't been more strict, the altercation in the penalty box should have been a straight red card, and this mood seems to have spread to some officials as well.

As I said I am not a big football fan but watch England games they really deserve to win this match. Colombia are playing very dirty!

Almost made it worth conceding a stoppage time equaliser to win a penalty shootout!
Proud to be English and good riddance to a bunch of cheats!

Colombia played really dirty I'm very pleased that England actually managed to win a world cup shootout. I couldn't watch, it was that tense.

Couldnโt watch the match live (grrrrrr) but was reading the live update - seems refereeing was very poor with the Colombian team having turned up for a fight rather than a match .... though this was much closer than it should have been. Should probably have never got to extra time / penalties
Anyway, I dare say that the path to the finals starts looking a bit easier now for England.

Poor refereeing has been the only downside of this World Cup, how Columbia still had eleven men on the field is beyond me. The best moment of the match for me was Harry Maguire going down and signalling to the referee that he hadn't been fouled. I'm certainly not taking Sweden for granted but it's looking good.

Certainly, never take anyone for granted, especially keeping in mind what has been happening over the past few days. But yes, looking good now

I didn't watch extra time as I had to pop out but I watched the first 90 minutes and it actually ended up with the right result up to that point at 1-1 as neither team deserved to win given both teams created very little clear cut chances. I don't accept that Colombia were cheating - yes they were rough but given that their team was missing arguably their star man (think England without Kane) and so on paper, they were inferior to England, I understand why they adopted the 'Stoke' approach as I call it and I've never understood why people get upset about it because if your team is good enough, they will handle it regardless and ultimately win the game so actually, it shows that England are a tad overrated and are only making it through due to a kind draw.
The incident with Henderson was a clear red and as I much as I was supporting Colombia, I was astonished to see Barrios get away with just a yellow - a very lucky boy and it could of been a different game with that decision. Henderson's reaction was slightly odd though as the player headbutted him in the chin yet he went down holding his forehead instead which no one had touched but still, a definite red card. However, I feel the penalty decision is up for debate - I can see why it was given but it seemed a lot less clear than other holding incidents and Kane was falling before the defender ended up on his back.

France are sailing through to the Semi Final, slightly shocking display from the Uraguayan keeper. Looking forward to seeing Belgium going up against Brazil now

Well I didn't see that coming, another cracking game and Hazard played a blinder, by contrast all Neymar could do was throw himself to the floor. Who would have thought it, no South American's, no Germany, no Spain,Italy didn't even qualify, we'll surely never have a better chance although the other five countries still in it are probably thinking the same thing!

Danny Murphy said if he had behaved like that when he was playing his family would have gone ballistic at him. Imagine Neymar showing his grandchildren the videos one day, "here I am rolling in pretend agony........and here I am trying to con the referee into giving a penalty".........utterly cringe worthy!

Looking at the penalty review I'm slightly glad he didn't get it due to his previous play acting despite it should have actually been a penalty. Shows cheating is not the way forward and what it can land you in.
