In order to stop flooding the Stagecoach thread with the football stuff it's probably best to create a thread on here Great match from Spain and Portugal just now, neither side failed to disappoint. Looking forward to tomorrow's games.

Continued from Stagecoach London thread: Yeah that game is certainly entertaining for the first 45 minutes and if anyone is interested whats the score at half time then it's 2-1 to Portugal with two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) and a goal from Diego Costa (Spain) Anyway lets hope the second half is just as enjoyable as the first half What thrilling 90 minutes it was, with the 3-3 draw and both teams have played well plus the hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo
As for other matches so far, well Russia managed to get 5-0 victory all thanks shambolic defending from Saudi Arabia and other two games that was on today were pretty boring .

Is it not over yet I feel like a freak when the Word Cup is on and tell people I don't like football Don't worry. I am trying very hard to ignore the entire thing. Certainly won't be watching it. Wait til there is an England evening match - guaranteed empty roads, empty trains and empty buses. And having said that I will dutifully ignore this thread from now on.

Looking forward to tomorrow's games. Ronaldo showed just why he is the best player in the world right now - sadly Portugal didn’t win. I don’t like the way Spain made a big deal out of Lopetegui’s agreement to manage Real Madrid after the tournament when they knew 5 minutes before the announcement was made - surely, the country’s chance at the tournament is more important than some petty disagreement over when they should know.

Initially I did think Portugal was going to win after the first penalty shoot although after the two Spanish goals I was starting to lose hope but that free kick was amazing. I was telling my brother that if Portugal do score again that it'll be Ronaldo with a Hat-trick and was becoming doubtful when Ronaldo was going to take the kick but he didn't fail to amaze.

Absolutely epic game this evening that will surely go down as one of the best World Cup games ever, a draw was probably the right result and I don't think there is much doubt that both these two will go through to the knockout stages.
A couple of fairly insipid games earlier both decided by late goals, Saurez missed a few chances but I think Uruguay just about deserved it.
Looks like a day in front of the TV tomorrow with four games starting with France v Australia at 11.00.

Aussie's more than holding their own so far! Almost thought France had this game after that Penalty but seems not as they gave Australia a penalty just minutes later

That win against Morocco could be priceless for them. If they could pinch a point against either Spain or Portugal then the shock could be on

I'd say France were more than a bit lucky and the Aussies can feel very hard done by. I thought the VAR was inconclusive for the French penalty, no doubt about the Aussie one with Umtiti seemingly having a brainstorm and a fluke goal deciding it which brought back memories of that Frank Lampard 'goal' in 2010, if only goaline technology had been around then!
