Driver was very honest of a not in service one...no road issues Waited from 4.30 to 5.45 for it to turn up. 2 came in and went not in service and an empty bus was at stop the whole time no driver. Believe me there were enough people there with me 5 no shows in a row. People waiting at stop said 4.25 hadn't turned up... so no 4.25, 4.45, 5.05, 5.25 or 5.40. Service eventually arrived at 5.50. Also my main gripe in all of this is again no service updates or response to anything on twitter for weeks. It is like they are trying to hush up the cancellations. Citybus are just as bad tbf but list all cancellations through day on twitter feed at least

Services in Plymouth are still bad. Major cancellations and gaps In service everywhere. Still no service updates on twitter etc... why ? Lots of rumours around that Stagecoach have given up on Plymouth and are about to pull out, hence exodus of drivers. This can't just be covid surely? I would email customer services but they hardly ever bother to respond either

Absolutely shocking events in Plymouth last night. Fortunately Plymouth is the kind of place where people look out for each other and I am sure the City will pull through. The police are offering support to everyone who wants it. And thankfully, mass shootings like this are incredibly rare in this country.

Only thing I would add re above is if 101 is fine as it is , why was it in Stagecoach consultation plan just before covid in 2020 to route it via Mutley? Re joint ticket, would be good to see that happen but in Plymouth, Stagecoach are in the main a fair but cheaper than Citybus so can see this backfiring on us Stagecoach passengers, ending up paying more than we do now for a ticker also valid on Citybus that we do not necessarily want! Because in a competitive environment, having more of your buses operating via Muttley gives you a bigger potential share of the passenger market. In a co-operative environment, having too many buses on one corridor is counter-productive when some of those buses could be put to good use elsewhere. Overbussing Muttley would be a Dastardly thing to do.

Apparently reports elsewhere state Stagecoach are only operating around 50% of their Plymouth area service at the moment and the rest are quietly cancelled hence nothing on twitter etc. From my experience this week I reckon that driver report is about right.

Honestly personally I want Stagecoach to not only survive in Plymouth long term but expand their services. It is my personal experience over the past few weeks that the services in and around Plymouth have gone to pot and are very unreliable. Also as stated before does it hurt to put cancellation info on twitter, where have all updates gone in past month. They are not replying to emails etc either which is very poor with no Hint if apology at all. Surely there is some level of service a customer can expect?

It has been confirmed that the British Fireworks Championships in Plymouth will go ahead on Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th August. The event will be in memory of the five people who lost their lives in last Friday's tragic events in Keyham and a special display in their honour will take place at 9.15pm ahead of the main event. The main events start at 9.30pm and last around an hour.
Bus-wise this means special park & ride services for Milehouse, Goerge Junction and Coypool with the last buses leaving Plymouth around midnight. There will also be an extra Gold to Ivybridge at 23.20.

There is also additional service on the Plymouth 1 to Tavistock at 23.00. This service was a normal service until covid started in 2020, along with midnight departure off Plymouth but has never been restored

I would email customer services but they hardly ever bother to respond either It seems Stagecoach are publicly stating Covid and Brexit are causing problems But it has now come out that 55 staff have left in Plymouth, 55 in Exeter, Barnstaple 22, Torquay 11 and Union is blaming poor pay and conditions www.plymouthherald.co.uk/news/plymouth-news/plymouth-bus-drivers-quitting-stagecoach-5837392

Ahead of the service changes in early September, Plymouth CityBus has reopened its Travel Centre on Royal Parade. The Travel Centre has been closed since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the opportunity has been taken to refurbish the office with a new layout.
It's an encouraging sign that CityBus at least is keen to attract passengers back following the pandemic.

Yes this is exactly what I was told by driver in Plymouth few weeks ago who incidently was leaving the following week. Stagecoach really need to address this as their pay is much lower than Citybus and First in Plymouth. The list of cancelled services they have at last started to publish daily is just the tip of iceberg. Believe you me there are many more cancellations in Plymouth than those they are admitting to.
