Oxford will reveal its new City Livery for its double-deck Streetdecks 722-791 and its single-deck Kites 492-495 at a launch ceremony on 15th January, Stagecoach is also expected to be present with one of the first of the new ADL Enviro400 EVs. Info courtesy of Oxford Chilterns Bus Page, 21st December 2023 Not my photo, just a screen grab of one I was sent a few weeks ago - not the final livery interestingly, but no doubt a preview.... I seriously like this new design, just needs the top deck front screen to be rounded off

There will be minor changes to times on Pulham's 64 and Thames Travel 94/94A, X32 and ST1 from Sunday 7th January, mostly to improve punctuality on schooldays. From Monday 8th January Oxford City will trial a new 3X route operating directly between Oxford Rail Station and Oxford Science Park. Buses will stop only at St Aldates (City Centre), Redbridge Park & Ride and Heyford Hill Sainsburys. There will be three return journeys during each of the morning and evening peaks, plus two midday return journeys. www.oxfordbus.co.uk/timetable-changes-jan24www.oxfordbus.co.uk/trial-service-3x-oxford-science-park

The first of the order for 104 Wrightbus Electroliner EVs (99 Streetdecks and 5 Kites) have arrived in Oxford and have been launched at the Headington campus of Oxford Brookes University. The first 21 vehicles are for the BROOKESbus service which is operated in partnership with the University, and are expected to enter service before the end of the year. UPDATE: 701 (BJ73 WWE) and 702 (BJ73 WWF) were used briefly on special University Open Day shuttles (U1B) on Saturday 18th November. www.route-one.net/news/oxford-bus-company-marks-roll-out-of-21-streetdeck-electroliners/More of the new electrics are arriving in Oxford. From photos that have appeared on the latest Oxford Chilterns Bus Page the single-deck Kites, the Streetdecks for Brookesbus and the semi-open top Streetdecks for sightseeing work have the standard front (often referred to as 'frogface') but it looks like the remainder of the Streetdecks for City services (722-791) will have the new, more rounded front end. Examples of the new vehicles are due to appear at a launch event on Monday 15th January, one of the first of Stagecoach West's new ADL Enviro400 EVs is also expected to be present. www.oxford-chiltern-bus-page.co.uk/Weekly%20Briefing%20nr%20282%20040124.html

Carousel route 102 from Heathrow to Wycombe is shortly being rebranded as 'Flightline 102' featuring the same livery and branding as the Reading routes (703, 730/731), believe it will be using the exOxford Brookes E400MMCs refurbished, which are 10 years old now (dosen't time fly...)

The information screens at the CBS have listed it as a Flightline service for a few months! If I could work out how to I’d post a photograph! It should, indeed be using some of the ex COMS E400s.

I'm guessing three dedicated vehicles, plus a generic spare refurbished to the same standard but without the Flightline branding. PS doesn't time fly - I see what you did there

As the new Wright Streetdeck Electroliners enter service on Brookesbus services, some of the diesel Streetdecks they are replacing are being transferred to Pulhams (including 372 - OX68 OBU). They have been asked to double-deck route 99 which operates between Cheltenham and Gloucester via Cheltenham General and Gloucester Royal Hospitals and is supported by the local Hospitals NHS Trust. The five Mercedes Citaros currently used on the 99 will be de-branded but will remain in the Pulham's fleet.

There's a write-up about the launch on the latest Oxford Chilterns Bus Page. Stagecoach did not have one of its own ADL Enviro400 EV available but an ADL demonstrator was displayed. Oxford City 722 was displayed at the launch on Monday 15th January and entered service on route 700 (Kidlington-Hospitals-Thornhill P&R) on Wednesday 17th January. It is not route-branded. Also on OCBP are the details of the new Wright Streetdeck Electroliner open-tops for Oxford City Sightseeing, these are registered with Tappins. 190 - BJ73 WVW 191 - BJ73 WVX 192 - BJ73 WVY 193 - BJ73 WVZ 194 - BJ73 WWA 195 - BJ73 WWB 196 - BJ73 WWC 197 - BJ73 WWD www.oxford-chiltern-bus-page.co.uk/Weekly%20Briefing%20nr%20284%20180124.html
