I remember southlondonbus saying that there are plans that the 110 and 111 swapping western ends I.e 110 going to Heathrow and the 111 being curtailed at Hounslow Bus Station. So it could be possible seeing the 110 be running between Heathrow and Hammersmith via current 111 to Hounslow, 110 to Twickenham, Richmond Bridge and the current 391 to Hammersmith. I wonder if that’s still going ahead and I wonder if there will a DD conversion. The 110/111 proposal was a few years back. V have been very unlucky. The 10 was withdrawn, with most of its drivers transferred onto the 391 and 306. Both are now leaving, with a few extra duties on the new extended 110, if it is even run from V. Not the first time in its history, as it was mothballed in the late 90’s after the 27 was lost to Centrewest (X). Neighbours AH and X are again benefiting from V’s misfortunes. I hope a new contract win , or a displaced route as a result of win elsewhere, will revive it’s fortunes. I think the 111 is far too long at it would be sensible to withdraw the Hounslow-Heathrow section during the day but a 110 running from Hounslow-Hammersmith via Kew, Richmond and Hounslow would be quite long and extending the H91 doesn't solve the problem of retaining a service over the withdrawn section of the 111. It is a shame to see V are in a rut. Just as they were recovering from the loss of the 10 by taking on the 211 the 27 then went the other way. I do hope they get another Central London route soon, it feels that currently the routes there are quite unstable when you consider that the only routes they had two years ago which they still have are the 9, 272 and E3.

I think the 110 will remain at AV, better for scheduling. Some opportunities in the next couple of years, so I’m hopeful something will come along. I noticed London United’s performance has got better. And neighbouring (rival) garages are now getting full. Soon time for the tendering wheel to do its circle. Personally think the 237 will remain at AH. If AV is better for scheduling then it should stay there for sure. 237 I think it's between a RATP win or a Metroline retain I just don't see Tower transit winning it but of course it wouldn't be a major shock if it did happen. For routes for V to gain in the next couple of years the 190 stands out not really sure what else will be in the next tender programme just know the 190 will be as recently got its two year extension. if 28 is won RATP then that route would probably go to RP meaning space would need to be required therefor you could move the 283 or 440 to V to create space. Yes I think the 440 would be best. Makes room at RP for a new contract, together with the H17,223 & 398 moved to SO .

It will depend on dead runs but I think RP already doing dead runs to Wandsworth for the 220 and having Kensal Rise just down Harrow Road puts them in a good place to run the 28 whereas V is a bit more awkward due to things like Fulham Palace Road traffic.

It would be great if V got the 28 but would agree RP is probably better. RP have had the most success in recent years with them winning the 18 and 266 as well as retaining the 283.

I can't see why not although the route passing RP probably gives it the slight advantage because driver change overs would be easier. If it does move to V where would change overs take place?

I think RP is a better base for it when it passes RP and no longer serves Hammersmith, V isn't too far from Acton so that is a possibility, but routes like the 283 and 440 seem more logical choices to move to V when they go closer to it than the 266 does. When the 266 passes AC, W and WJ - I would think RATP are in with a better chance of retaining the 266 from a garage on the route. I imagine in the event of V running the 266 they would do change overs at the Acton stand and could use the E3.

In my opinion I think RATP should have kept the PK site. Why should they have kept it? Had they kept it they would have more space to park buses or the ferry/staff cars but they decided there was no need to.

RP is a big garage but its not got much available space, of course they'll have more space when the 223, 398 and H17 move back to SO. Anyway it was LK65EBO who mentioned it not me so I don't want to put words into his mouth.

I remember a member (I think Jay SP17) saying the site wasn't all that big and space becomes much smaller when the staff park their cars.

I thought that RP is a big garage. It seems big from all the figures but not everything is what it seems to be. I used to think AV was a huge garage but in theory it can't hold too many routes.
