I’m very much presuming these are the three completely obliterated Citaros in this picture, NOT my photo. EDIT: the very first photo at the start of the article.www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/news/croydon-news/orpington-bus-garage-fire-first-2246424.amp?__twitter_impression=true I had to try and compare these to a picture of an un-burnt Citaro to try and figure out the shape of the skeleton, it’s completely unrecognisable. I thought at first that could have been ex-293 Scanias, I couldn’t tell at all that was a Citaro. Also in that photo, what vehicles are 1) the obliterated (I’m presuming) E400 in the middle of the Citaro with pretty much the top window frame remaining (if even MB themselves can narrow down which vehicle it is, and 2) the E400 on the far right with the collapsed side with the rear completely intact? The Enviro 400 on the far right is EN33, and the burnt E400s between the Citaros are E211 (Next to E60) and EN37 (Directly in the middle) I didnt even know there was a bus between E60 and the first Citaro, I can see it now, anyone would have thought thats a single decker 😱😱😱 I wonder how they could tell which ‘skeletons’ were what with literally nothing left of them. I can near 100% bet that they can’t tell which of the three Citaros are what ones.

All buses that was parked by the wall are confirmed by londonbusboy and has posted a diagram of those buses on the GAL thread.

Most if not all bus garages have a parking plan which is how they were identified. I'll attach the same drawing as i put in the GAL thread

I remember there was one enviro 400 at Mb that wasn’t refurbished and it used to absolutely reek of fuel inside

What impact, if any, was there on services yesterday (Friday)? From the outside it seemed to me like there was minimal impact. Indeed, by Thursday afternoon it appeared to me that services were relatively normal. It’s been said but bears repeating - the boys and girls at MB did a marvellous job on Thursday under very difficult circumstances The only unusual thing I noticed on Friday was E4 (I think!) on the 684 complete with LED destination blinds. There was a young lad waiting on it at Biggin Hill on Friday afternoon presumably to take a photo. I say that because he took a photo of my bus when I pulled up at the stop outside the Black Horse - the second time in 45 minutes I’d had my bus photographed that day! And no, I still haven’t seen myself! And in case anyone was wondering - Jail Lane is shut and buses cannot access Charles Darwin School so both the 664 and 684 have been starting and finishing at the Black Horse pub leaving the little angels to walk up and down Jail Lane to and from school Well well well, I appear to have been spotted on my photography rounds! I remember coming in on E225, snapping 19799 on 664 and then waiting to ride E4 to Orpington, think I asked about how late it was. It did come in the end! 20 minutes late, but the whole boarding arrangement was so confusing.

It’s supposed to leave before the second 664 but there must have been some confusion over the closure of Jail Lane

I don't think this can be called a tragedy, fortunately there has been no injuries or loss of life and I can't see any harm in a light hearted comment. Perhaps Go Ahead will be able to hire Scanias from Stagecoach for the 51 as I assume they'll have no further use for them? Don't forget that Go-Ahead do have spare Scanias in storage at Croydon currently.... The Decom scanias are Being recommissioned asap and will be heading to MB you’re right.

I wouldn’t necessarily believe everything you read, understandably the investigation is not over, there are still a number of lines of enquiry.
