9H48 1715 Clapham Junction to Dalston Junction Service actually started at Battersea Park and boy can you tell the difference. The train was half empty when it reached Denmark Hill.

Many times in the morning if the train is late coming to stratford it will run non-stop from Stratford to Highbury and Islington. It only takes 5-6 mins which is unbelievable

Wow, a TfL Rail Class 315, has had London Overground Logps put on it and kept the blues doors and is on Liverpool Street to Chingford. I'm on my phone so it won't let me attach the image.

Currently on an overground train to Euston (pretty well loaded after a 30 min gap). Driver just said trains between Bushey and Queens Park can only run at 20mph as a result of the heat. Restriction will remain in place until at least 9pm.

Restriction will remain in place until at least 9pm. Presumably this is because of fear of the rails buckling due to the heat. Has this reduced speed limit hampered the reliability of the service?

Indeed that was the reason. Virgin and London Northwestern trains appeared to be travelling at reduced speed too along the WCML, although faster than 20mph. I can’t comment on service reliability issues caused directly by the speed restriction, but when I checked the next time for a train it was 29 mins (the one I ended up taking), with the next one in 59. There was yet another half hour gap after that too.

There was yet another half hour gap after that too. Indeed a temporary speed restriction was imposed from midday until 21:00 as result of critical rail temperatures between Queens Park - Harrow + W'stone & Bushey. The bakerloo after 18:30 until about 21:20 was suspended north of Queen's Park as the reduced speeds would have caused more congestion and trains potentially left outside of stations which many TOC's are trying to avoid in this hot weather.

Went to Watford High Street earlier in hopes of getting the 18:04 to Euston, but it was ‘Cancelled’ and that was after a 30 min gap in the timetable. So there was a 45-50 minute gap since the previous train. The sooner they get another train the better!
