On the way back from doing the 212 & 444 today, I managed to make the 415 after spotting it upon exiting the tube station only because of the front boarding only policy which had caused a large queue and resulted in increased dwelling which I feared would happen.

I honestly dread to think what will happen in Ilford and Barking once the ELT routes convert!

I'd forgotten that these new arrangements were starting today but I did notice a 148 pull up at Marble Arch and all three doors opened as people were getting off and people just piled on through three doors as usual. I guess it's going to take a while for people to get used to the new arrangements with very little publicity.

Were you guys expecting to see all oyster readers and door signs changed overnight? If LTs can be moved from one firm to another, get new logos, new blindsets, etc to operate next day¹ from their new garage then surely it must be a whole lot easier to deal with oyster readers and door signs within that same time period. ¹ ‐ or a matter of hours in some cases

Had some interesting experiences of the LT boarding changes today. A friend sent me a text saying that he was on the 3 and when someone boarded through the back door the drivers refused to move. Took the 148 from Hyde Park Corner to Shepherd's Bush, many passengers were confused when only the front door opened to let people on. Didn't see anyone left behind as eventually all those waiting for the middle or rear door to open realised only the front door was open. Nevertheless, it still did a very good job of causing confusion amongst passengers. Got to feel sorry for the drivers on these routes now. I do because as usual TFL dosent realise that drivers are on the front line of customer service. As I have said before they need some enforcement on the LTs if they want to curb fare dogging TFL should have known this would happen just look at the bendys

There would be war alot of the people that use the ELT routes don't bother to pay in normal circumstances as I have seen on the EL1 and EL2.

Yes, so it could be quite interesting to see what these people would do. Especially if the drivers don't let them board on the back, however it would be nice to see other adults paying just like everyone else.

I can imagine people will just press the emergency door open button, seen that on the 8 when the back door didn't open.

It is so much more than 1 route! Sorry, had enough of dealing with idiots tonight ... can't cope and totally give up if it is just going to continue on here.

Single door boarding sucks on busy routes though for a driver...you stop at the bus stop and you might as well boil a kettle for tea because it will take 4 minutes for everyone to board.
