So the new Premier League season has begun, Who's going to win the league? Will VAR be a success? For me it's difficult to look beyond city retaining the title again for the 3rd consecutive time but anything can happen.

For me it's difficult to look beyond city retaining the title again for the 3rd consecutive time but anything can happen. No doubt Mancheating City will win it - expect a number of bribes to be made during the season. I suspect Liverpool will their closest challengers again. I like VAR and I think yesterday's matches has shown how good it is in rectifying those clear & obvious decisions - those who argue against it can't come up with reasonable points as to why it shouldn't be implemented. Hoping my beloved Arsenal finally get back into the top 4 - I think it's between us & Chelsea for that 4th spot depending on the impact Lampard has at Chelsea as well as the youngsters stepping up. Man Utd look like a 6th place team - the midfield and attack is far weaker than the other top 5 teams with Pogba a massive liability given he picks and chooses when to play whilst Greenwood, Rashford & Martial would struggle to get into Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Chelsea or Spurs sides - I mean I certainly wouldn't swap Auba & Laca for them

Normal service resumes, West Ham were thrashed 5-0 by Man City but Pep still disappointed with the result. Kane spared Tottenham's blushes with a 3-1 comeback win against Aston Villa after being behind after just 6 minutes

As a Crystal Palace fan I'd be more than happy with a mid table finish, I fear we might be in for a relegation battle though.
Surprise result for me was Brighton, many people's tip to go down, winning 0-3 at Watford who on that showing are likely to be in for a long hard season themselves.
It's hard to see beyond Man City for the title and they've certainly started in style.
I think it's great to see VAR finally coming in and I can't understand those who are opposed to it. Even if it does hold the game up in a few cases at least we end up with the correct decision.
So I'll say City for the title with Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea making up the top four and Brighton Watford and Norwich City to go down.

Shefield united, Norwich and Newcastle to go down I think.

My prediction: City to win the title. Liverpool second, Man United third, Chelsea fourth, Tottenham fifth, Arsenal sixth. To go down: Villa, Norwich, Newcastle

Personally I think Chelsea be lucky to finish in top 6 ... novice manager, no signing in next transfer window ... think Everton, Leciester could pip then for it

Mount & Barkley were impressive as well - the errors Lampard made was not starting Giroud & selling Luiz when all you had left was Christiansen & Zouma. Utd counterattacking at home shows how far they’ve fallen - awful midfield & just two first team strikers, they better hope they stay clear of injuries. For me, 4th is between us (Arsenal) and Chelsea

I’m guessing your a Utd fan? Chelsea Apologies - I thought the very high placing of Utd was because you were a supporter of them. Here’s my prediction: 1st - Mancheating “why have they escaped a ban by FIFA” City 2nd - Liverpool 3rd - Spurs (providing their best player Eriksen doesn’t leave) 4th - Arsenal but only just 5th - Chelsea 6th - Man Utd League Cup - Wolves FA Cup - Arsenal (well we are the record holders so worth a punt) Champions League - Juventus

Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal, Spurs are my top 4. Man Utd/Chelsea to miss out comfortably. All three promoted sides to stay up. Norwich are very good side and surprised they are tipped to go down from the posts seen. No one reply to this post so I can delete the post when I completely wrong

I agree with Norwich, was an absolute pleasure to watch them last season and they’re very good going forward even if they aren’t at the back.. Villa looked good against Spurs but I’m no fan of their strikers and could struggle to score enough whilst I think Sheffield Utd will go once teams work out their overlapping centre backs formation.
