Being local to me I would love to see Brentford go up but it is so close between West Brom and Brentford. I'm sure rif153 would like Brentford to go up as well. When Brentford move stadiums it will put an end to that famous quiz question "Which stadium has a pub on every corner?"I would love Brentford to go up, I remember back in 2015 when they made the playoffs I was really hoping they would go up then. On the question of pubs. I suspect that there still will be plenty of Brentford fans who will use the pubs where Griffin Park currently is after it moves but it wouldn't surprise me if at least one if not more of the pubs closes as there may not be enough custom for all four to stay afloat. I think most neutrals would love to see Brentford go up....... they play good football and it's nice to see some different clubs in the Prem.

He was only contracted until the end of the season but the timing does seem strange, I suspect there may be a bit more to this than meets the eye. This may cause instability at the club coming to the tail end of the season with Watford just above the relegation zone, would be awful if Watford were to go down. Watford have got Man City and Arsenal as their final two games of the season not the teams I would want to be playing when fighting to survive. If they manage to get 1 point out of those two games then Bournemouth go down.

This may cause instability at the club coming to the tail end of the season with Watford just above the relegation zone, would be awful if Watford were to go down. The problem with Watford is they have an odd way of running their club under the Pozzo regime - they've been through 3 managers this season alone after Javi Gracia (who got them to a FA Cup final last season), Sanchez Flores & now Nigel Pearson so it's no wonder they have instability when they constantly chop and change - in fact, I think Javi Gracia was the first manager they had in a while to be retained at the end of a season. Their squad is very bloated and seems based more on quantity than quality in places - for me, I wouldn't be too sorry to see them go and would rather see Bournemouth or Villa stay up. As for Nigel Pearson's sacking, it's utterly stupid IMO - he took over with the team adrift at the bottom almost looking like they were gone and he dragged them into a position where they are currently outside of the relegation zone with a 3 point difference. Watford don't give out long contracts because they usually let go of their coaches at the end of a season so him having a 1 year deal means nothing at all. It's been a day of mad sackings - Huddersfield sacked Danny Cowley despite him taking them over when they were bottom with practically no wins and he steered them to safety the other day beating 2nd place West Brom only to be sacked which has infuriated fans who were happy for Cowley to stay.

Not what I wanted to happen but Brentford have played poorly during their last two games. Hopefully they can come up via the playoffs.

Unfortunate for both Brentford and Fulham that neither could capitalise on West Brom drawing against QPR. I do hope Brentford go up too, though they won't be the only London team in the playoffs.

All I can say after that was we really need to improve our defence. Liverpool were clinical with their chances and poor defending led to us shipping five goals at Anfield today, it was painful to watch and we've conceded far too many goals this season. A tough game against Wolves at home now and a real risk of failing to finish in the top four.

If you defend like that in the cup final, then maybe we won't need to defend like we did against Liverpool & the cheats of Manchester

Swansea literally gate crashed the play offs by the smallest of margins and probably feel that they have nothing to lose whilst all the pressure is on Brentford who blew it last night and QPR had helped them out by holding West Brom to a draw.

last day of the season predictions.
Man United get a late equaliser to guarantee Champions League football for next season.
Aston Villa win against West Ham score being 2.1. Aston Villa stay up for another year.
Bournemouth and Watford both lose and are relegated back down to Championship.

I can't see Bournemouth or Watford getting anything today so Villa should be safe as long as they don't lose by a cricket score.

Bournemouth should feel hard done by especially being disallowed that clear goal against Sheffield United because of a fault with HawkEye.

Indeed but some may argue that if they played better during the campaign, they wouldn't need to rely on others or technology to get them out of the mess they were in. Fair play to Villa for doing their and sad to see Bournemouth & Eddie Howe go, they play decent football but their issue is they've never completely solved the defensive issues they have had for a few years now. Watford I'm not too fussed about - they reap what they sow when they sack managers left, right & centre and sacking Pearson with 2 games left was as barmy a decision as I've seen. Also, as a Gooner, it's a little funny to watch Deeney talk about us having no balls, then the following game against us, gets sent off and now we've helped send them packing to the Championship with him in tow - I do hope Welbeck is given another lifeline by a Premier League club as when fit, he is an underrated player.

I agree about Danny Welbeck but he does pick up too many injuries.
