Does the Met share the same track as the Circle and H&C between Aldgate and GPS? Yes OK thanks.

The arcade over the Metropolitan/Circle/Hammersmith & City Line tracks at Liverpool Street Underground is to be converted into a food hall by the owners of BoxPark. The new venture will be called BoxHall and will feature up to 16 outlets with kitchens, run by small traders. The arcade was built over the tracks by the Metropolitan Railway in 1912, following electrification of the sub-surface railway - the Metropolitan Railway was an independent concern at the time, and did not become part of London Underground until it was compulsorily acquired by London Transport in 1933. The Metropolitan Railway (which included most of the route of the Hammersmith & City Line) built up a considerable property portfolio at its Central London stations between 1900 and 1930 and its architecture is quite distinctive compared to that on other parts of the Underground. The arcade was threatened with demolition in 1988, but a petition to save it was signed by over 6,000 people and it was restored in 1995. Metropolitan Railway Arcade by Julian Walker, on Flickr

I noticed yesterday (Saturday) that the 2 trains I saw to Amersham were semi fast. Was this normal on a Saturday or just some late running or driver shortages?

Due to a set of points being out of commission on the northbound approaching Harrow Amersham and Chesham have been semi-fast for about the last three months

Even just skipping 2 stations still creates a slightly faster journey for the outer stations.

A few Sundays ago when the Met was suspended between Aldgate and Baker Street the Amersham and Chesham trains were semi fast. Is this normal on a Sunday or just when engineering works were happening?

Because of a temporary track fault, southbound Metropolitan line trains are not stopping at Northwick Park and Preston Road. For Northwick Park and Preston Road, please change at Wembley Park and return on northbound stopping services. Alternatively for Northwick Park, change at Harrow-on-the-Hill for bus H19 to Northwick Park, or bus SL10 or 223 to nearby Kenton. We expect this to continue until at least Monday 26 February

Lucky they can really otherwise it would have been quite a trip down to Finchley Road to turn round.

Southbound fasts have always had the ability to stop at Wembley on platform 6 but they’re not booked to in the morning peak and would rarely do so under normal circumstances as usually they would be recovering late running

It just that there are normally no SB services timetabled to stop there

The southbound slow line closure between Harrow and Wembley Park has been extended. One thing i noticed on TfLs website regarding using buses to Kenton is that they mentioned 223 and SL10 but not the H9, 114 and 183
